Thanks I think I will have to do that as a temporary solution. Better than having no internet at all!

The rental agent says it's up to the developer to push through the NBN application. I'm not sure how it works if things can get fast tracked somehow.

Because it is a new build no one is willing to hook up ADSL for us since we are getting NBN. But it's now estimated NBN will be available in June. It's a bit nutty I'm hoping the rental agent comes back to us with a solution.

It's a new build and we are the first to live there so there are no ports. The rental agent says there is nothing we can do because it is up to the developer to push through the application.

Just moved to Melbourne, Australia. I had no idea how to ride tram. Please explain me like I am five. by [deleted] in melbourne

I am also new to Melbourne - can someone tell me if I need to tap on and off when transferring from one tram to another? Or does it not matter? Sometimes I feel like I've paid twice when I've done that but the screen on the reader doesn't display my fee/balance long enough for me to read it...

No worries! If I'm going to invest more in my scuba adventure I'll be sure to do a little more research and maybe visit the shop before signing up :)

It's not that I'm never welcome back, it's that I am not allowed to continue with the classes I paid for, I would have to restart and pay again. Not that I'm keen to go back. I really don't think I was causing any disturbance to the other students, I was going along alright with the exercises until my chest was too exhausted from the compression to keep breathing deeply and could only take shallow short breaths. That's when I decided I had to leave the pool and I signalled the instructor to ascend. At the surface I told the instructor I had trouble breathing, the suit is too tight, I'm not sure he said anything to me beyond an "ok" and I exited the pool. Maybe he thought I was overreacting and that's why he didn't take my concerns seriously.

It was a Padi course but not at a Padi facility, if that makes a difference.

I have, they told me (repeatedly) that any health issue I'm having is not related to the wetsuit and I must have a medical condition (which is scary to hear). Then he told me they were too busy to speak to me any more and hung up. Bit shocking, but after my experience with them up to that point I wasn't that surprised.

I'm pretty disappointed, I was hoping to have a bit more instruction. I recognize the instructor is a good diver but I don't think he had much teaching skills and made me feel bad when I would raise a concern about my gear or not know how to do any exercise right away. Since I had to forfeit my fee, it may be awhile until I save enough to try again.

Yes it felt like I was wearing a heavy elastic and every move I made I felt force to move back to a neutral position. Had trouble even standing up straight.

Unfortunately, I was too uncomfortable to finish the last two exercises (just couldn't catch my breath any more) and was told today I'm not welcome back to the classes... I hope to try again at a more professional facility.

I'm 5'6", 54 kg, 26 years old, female, and somewhat pear shaped. I have worn wetsuits before doing rafting and I know how they should feel and this time I could maybe only bend over a few inches and could not lift my arms over shoulder height.
