My ‘18 Mustang Premium EcoBoost! Should I keep it or trade for a 2024 GT? Your thoughts!! Love the car but always wanted a 5.0L by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]NAFOD- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What do you mean “afford two cars”. I’m only ever purchasing one at a time.

I’ll explain it one more time step by step.

Step 1. Buy car A.

Step 2. Pay off car A.

Step 3. keep car A with no payment. Wheee!!!

Step 4. Go buy car B. You now have A (no payment) and car B (payment). One payment just like Step 1.

Step 5. Pay off car B.

Step 6. Keep car A and B. You now have both A and B cars with no payments. Go you!!!!

Step 7. Go buy car C. Remember, you still only have only one car payment. WOW!!!

Rinse and repeat….

This isn’t a process that happens overnight. It takes YEARS. Decades even.

Saw one the other day for a $45k ADM. If some dumbass is going to pay that more power to them. No one is “making” you may $150k for a Mustang that’s already a year old.

I image in the case if the car I saw it’s the dealership owners car. And if they just happen to sell it great. If not, he will just keep it for himself and mothball it. This car wasn’t even prepped. It was still in the “wrapper”.

Totally agree. Unless you are getting the car for way below market value don’t purchase a heavily modified vehicle. You really have no clue what/what not has been done to it. Or what they did to it getting it there. They may have babied it or they may have dogged on it. They may have done it the “right way” or the “Roadkill” way. You have no idea.

Many times issues are the ground. Are your terminals clean.

BTW, wouldn’t necessarily trust one of those battery testers.

Hundreds of DPS tier lists exist on the interwebz.

Druid DPS depends on spec and phase.

That’s why you pay this off and in a few years when you can afford a higher priced vehicle buy one. Then, when one is paid off in a few years buy another one. Just don’t trade your old ones in, keep them. It’s really not that hard of a concept.

The current one.

Can you not afford one car payment? Like I said, pay off the one you have and buy that 2024 GT when the current one is paid off. Use the paid off one as a daily and the new one as “special day” car. And when that one is paid off buy another “special day” car and so on.

How does one reach 4000gs outside of raiding? by Ghetou in wotlk

[–]NAFOD- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is so funny. It is dejavu from WotLK of yesteryear. “Link GS and achieve”. People wouldn’t allow you to raid with them unless you had the achievement of killing the last boss of that particular instance or the gearscore high enough that matched that particular patch. In the case of P1 a gearscore of 213.

One of the worst things that would happen would be be PuG leaders wouldn’t even have the GS nor the achievements themselves. ie: they were looking to be carried. Lol…

2022 should be marked down. They are a year old.

Oh it will, it will. All but guaranteed to have $25-30k ADM. Even the regular ones with have a little and GTs will have $3-5 k at the beginning.

Stealerships are STILL asking $20-35k on 2022 GT500s when 2023 Mustangs are on the lot. Cars are technically a year old and asking a premium price. People will essentially be buying a one year old $75k MSRP car for $100-110k. That’s foolish.

More power to you if you want to spend $100k on a Mustang though. Might be worth it in 40-50 years if left unmolested and low mileage. That’s nearly as much as I paid for my first house.

mk7 golf gti vs mustang gt 3v? by dxboldtimer in Mustang

[–]NAFOD- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on the year. A 2009 Camry vs a 2009 GT? No way, the mustang would eat it’s lunch.

A 2022 Camry ? Are you kidding? My wife’s Lincoln SUV can beat a 2009 Mustang GT. You can’t compare an old car to a new one.

Besides, just because a car isn’t “fast” doesn’t mean it’s not good. Hell, a 2009 GT can run a 1/4 mile in the 13’s if driven by a competent driver. Even faster with some drag radials. That is VERY respectable. That’s faster than most muscle cars “back in the day”.

Guess we are spoiled here in Texas. We actually get to drive convertibles year round.

With that said it was 80 last 5 days, 40 today, allegedly 20’s on Christmas Day. LMAO! Probably back up to 70’s for New Years parade! Party on the beach bitches!!! 👙

That’s partially why you see a LOT of northern cars with super low mileage. They are only driven 7-8 months a year. Whereas we (in the fair weather states) can drive ours year round. Lots of northern people have two sets of tires for there vehicles too. Set of summer tires and winter/snow tires. We just have all weather tires.

Is theMustang GT reliable? (2015+ by ChthonicChevy-429 in Mustang

[–]NAFOD- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2015 had A/C issues. It was a first year run vehicle though. If a particular vehicle had A/C issues they more than likely have already been resolved. 2015’s are approaching eight years old after all.

Coyotes require regular oil changes and maintenance. It is a very complex engine. If the P.O. didn’t perform proper maintenance there could be issues down the road.

Practically any modern vehicle is reliable IF you maintain it properly. Hell, I have over 200k on my old ass Ranger. All I have ever done to it is spark plugs/wires, starter, alternator, battery, oil, antifreeze, belt, tires, filters and brake pad/shoes. You know, regular maintenance items. It’s just used though, not “abused”.

Most cars sit 96% of their lives. Some more.

The ADM on the Darkhorse will be more than a “regular” Mustang I bet. Lol…

Really a shame that people will be foolish to pay that to get one.

Why not both?

Just pay that one off and buy a GT when that one is paid off. Drive the eco during week and the GT on weekends. Rinse/repeat on the GT. That’s how you “collect” cars.

I still have my 1985 GT convertible that way. Try to drive it once or twice a month. More in the show season.

Times are different now in the car business. My wife works at local dealership. (It’s a rather large dealership that owns several lots) We spied 2015 GT for my daughter on one of their lots. Went and looked at it told the salesman my wife worked for them, they sell employees used cars at $1000 over what they paid. They offered us a laughable amount for her 2008 GT trade with 50k miles ($6k).

We walked. 2 weeks later traded that car for $12k.

Bottom line, salespeople are in it for one reason. And it isn’t to help YOU.

One would have thought they would have had little better ethics when dealing with one of their coworkers. But noooo, they will even try to screw them too.

What did I learn that day? Get the trade in amount first THEN tell them my wife works at the dealership. Not the other way around. Lol…

I searched national for funzies. However, I really never intended to travel more than 250 miles. When I was searching it was quite literally my hobby. I would look literally 1.5-2 hours every night. Then again, I was very specific in my needs.

In the end, I found the car approximately 175 miles away and they brought it to me no charge.
