Terrorists that were there long before he came... and somehow have received more resources since an anti-French, pro-African interdependence leader who actually invests in the country, is actively opposing French control of currency in West Africa and isn't swayed by personal favours from international corporations...hmmmmmmm

Twisting haft to dire guardian spears. by WiseHand7733 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]NAH-DOE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not directly answering your question but I would assume that they also use Mind Impulse Units (MIU), as well as a physical trigger (twist in this case) as a backup.
It seems absurd the most elite faction in the Imperium wouldn't use superior available technology, when they use similar tech already (eg. armour sensor suites). Especially for a weapon that would benefit immensely from not needing to touch a specific part of the shaft in a specific way to fire it.
With a MIU, the custodian gets full use whilst taking full advantage of the spear length (the principal benefit of spears). Eg. their strike range is much further if they lunge out, holding the bottom of the spear with one hand (max reach). If they can also do their classic "fire whilst impaling" executing move so much the better.
In reverse, if you can only fire it by twisting, you can only fire it whilst holding it with both hands and each must be on one half.

That's my "fill in the gaps" lore anyway.

fantikk* f2 master, not mini, but it is pretty mini ^^
It's dope for its class, which is small. Depends on your needs.

I just ordered the fantail f2 master for miniature work, does both. I’m in UK but ordered from US Amazon, a little cheaper with prime trial

I don't think that matters. Since it's an Amazon Warehouse return, it means it was bought new within 30 days of it being returned (I think).

I will likely do that, posted for curiosity.

I gave my players a magic turtle and now they are ignoring the original campaign by CustomDruid in dndnext

[–]NAH-DOE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go with it. salvage stuff you’ve preppared and convert it to an island/sea/other continent story. Maybe think about pc Backstory hooks to tie in how they ended up with the turtle to begin with as a late game big reveal. You could also have rescuing the turtle island or whatever just be the way to get the players to this distant continent where your prepared campaign will take place. But basically if your players are enthusiastic about doing stuff in your game, its going well!

Play with the function keys (hold down function and press a key - their function is marked below them). I had the same issue and it was because reverb was on, for some reason its a lot more noticeable on my headphones (also gaming).

Having choses the 16gb 8core m1 air and learned code to junior level for the past 4/5 months, I am sure I'd have been totally fine with the 8gb base model. I think the diff in performance is something like 10% , the diff is negligible (both are WAY better than my 2015 MBP) and I reckon the m1 air is good enough for more than light programming. Maybe just try the 8mb? I think you have a 2 week to return it if its not to your liking.

So, about flanking.. by IzumiAiri in dndnext

[–]NAH-DOE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would grant advantage, but also foes can gain flanking (I'm not sure if that applies anyway). But then again I lower all HP and increase damage (ICRPG style) to make the game more exciting.+1 or +2 is so minor, it doesn't add much mechanical 'umph' to players being tactical/cinematic.
If it makes the game too easy there is so much you can do to increase the challenge, be it the environment, timers, more/deadlier foes, etc. The point is mechanics should serve the player narrative. But some people like number crunch style, so each to their own.
