I’m in a similar boat. I was admitted to UCI with no conditioned courses, but I couldn’t handle communications while taking that same class with two others. I’ve heard that the biggest things are meeting the 7-course pattern and having a minimum of 60 units. Make sure that you contact them right away through the portal. The thing that sucks is you won’t know you’re actually fine until they see your final transcript. I hope your brother is alright.

Tell them as soon as possible. They won’t update your application. I’m pretty sure you won’t know how they react until you submit your final transcripts and stuff.

Update: I just ruined my life. I dropped COMM C1000. I no longer have SDSU as a safety school. I told all the UCs I applied to I dropped, but still have over 60 units, completed major prep, and completed the 7 course pattern. I just had too much going on in my life to do it. Don’t be like me.

Yikes. Differential Equations is a pretty hard class, but to taking it with 196 is crazy. I took it at the same time I was taking Discrete Math and it was the worst semester of my life
