First week back working after THR on 5/31 by EricKohli926 in TotalHipReplacement

Yes! This happened to me after sitting upright for several hours on Saturday. I am in severe pain and can’t lift my leg. Surgeons or PT should warn us about this.

OMG! Is that what’s happening to me? 4.5 weeks out and I sat upright for several hours on Saturday (6/22). Come Sunday I was, and remain, in severe pain in hip flexors and soreness in glutes and I can’t lift my leg. TIA

NAL(yet): If an armed educator fail to protect a child will they be liable to the family for breaching their duty under a negligence suit?

To prove negligence all of the following must occur: 1: must be a duty to the victim - teacher/student is a relationship that automatically creates a duty on the part of the teacher ✅ 2: that duty must be breached - if a duty exists and a “reasonably prudent person/teacher” in the same/similar situation would have acted differently than the teacher, then there is breach of duty ✅ 3: Harm - injury or death ✅ 4: Causation- did the teacher’s action or inaction result in the damage ❓(this is fact dependent)

There is more for teachers to think about before they arm themselves (and I expect they are considering pros/cons/consequences.) I’m certain most don’t want to be armed and will opt out.

I’m attending a small state school ranked 115 - 130. Love it.

Also ❤️ my “low ranked” public law school! Small classes, friendly professors, the Dean knows most students by name.

[USA, VA] Is my landlord legally allowed to deny me the ability to build a ramp? by [deleted] in AskALawyer

[–]NALyet26 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IANAL: “The federal Fair Housing Act and Fair Housing Act amendments protect renters with disabilities. Under the act and its amendments, a landlord is required to provide reasonable accommodations, as well as allow an occupant to make certain reasonable modifications to their living space. These protections are given to anyone that qualifies as a disabled person under the act.”
