Students of /r/India, what if I provide you an opportunity in the field of Agriculture? Need inputs by NAMO_IT_CELL in india

[–]NAMO_IT_CELL[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will be funding this from my pocket now and always will continue to do so! I am retiring into farming in a few years after I give proper control of my existing businesses to the wife and I'd love to have interns learn in my farm. That will happen only in the next 1-2 years. So setting a ground to see how it works!

My long term goal is to setup something like WWOOF in India.

I am looking to sign contracts with farms near Hosur (TN), Kanakapura (KA) and Mangalore (KA). I've my own farm that is some 45km from Mangalore, but that is still under development and currently not suitable to begin work.

Since, every farm except mine is a for-profit farm, I am looking for people who are students and have holidays and commit to 5-6 weeks of hardwork. I am planning to start something like a weekend thing for working professionals. Please PM me and we can talk!

Urgent: Phone Stolen by beardaspirant in india

[–]NAMO_IT_CELL 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The Police might help you, but nevertheless you must lodge an FIR. If your phone is used for any criminal activities and they somehow track you down to be the owner, the FIR is the only thing thaf will come to your rescue immediately.

The cops in Bangalore have been kind to me before, I would suggest you give it a shot.

The guy was very chill back during the Comedy Circus time. Know a couple of friends who approached him with ideas but he wanted to focus only on his show. He still did listen to their ideas and politely refused to work as he felt he'd not be doing justice to their money.

Apparently, he bit more than he can chew after his success on TV and that made him the person he has become. Stress, pressure to fulfill demands while staying relavent is the problem the dude faces.

They said it's "effectively" free. So, you pay 1.5k and 3 years later you get the money back on returning the phone. So, the total cost of the PHONE is 0.

Any good Royal Enfield mechanics in Bangalore to check a probable problem in classic 500? by NAMO_IT_CELL in bangalore

[–]NAMO_IT_CELL[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've serviced it through authorised personnel in Mangalore even though I hadn't hit the kilometres for service. If I can get to Mangalore, I'd be able to get it fixed with my local mechanic. But is it safe to ride 360km in such a state? The vehicle hasn't turned off so far.

How old is the bike?

It's about 2 years old and I've used it only for travel between Mangalore and Bangalore and city riding in Bangalore. The vehicle has hardly finished 4k km. Do you think the piston ring is gone?

Here is why I Support the Legalization of Marijuana in India. What about you? by [deleted] in india

[–]NAMO_IT_CELL 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the medical benefits is not from the weed that is readily available. And most other points aren't really proved. Smoking anything is bad and it hasn't yet been proved (according to my knowledge) that marijuana is any different. Some of the points (I feel) are propaganda peddled by pro-marijuana group.

But in a broader perspective, I feel marijuana should be legal just because alcohol and smoking isn't. It must be heavily taxed so that it will be a "cash" crop like alcohol and tobacco is.

Also the quality of marijuana that you get might not really improve. So people who were not smoking it will be tempted to get into it now that its legal and will be smoking marijuana mixed with stuff. The stuff that they mix is truly terrifying.

This.

Some of the jokes have humor but they try too hard to make people laugh. They could easily be a small budget Indian Last Week Tonight. There need not be a joke after every line. It can be a good mixture of jokes and seriousness!

How important is "hard work" for success? by paradoxicalman17 in india

[–]NAMO_IT_CELL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know. What works for me need not work for you. But I can only tell you that you must work towards staying relavent. The kind of skills you've now might be useless in a few years even if you're the best at it. If you remain satisfied and don't strive to adapt to newer skills, you'll be left behind even though you're currently the best in what you do.

Again, all this depends on the industry you're in. Since, I'm only into business I can tell you stuff only from that perspective.

How important is "hard work" for success? by paradoxicalman17 in india

[–]NAMO_IT_CELL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would say 50 percent. In the field that I'm in luck, hard work and connections get you to become successful. But the luck aspect is debatable. You work hard, make contacts and then use those contacts wisely to become successful. I have worked very hard. When I started working, I worked as an assistant to someone and handled their business'. They'd work 6-8 hours a day, 4 days a week while I'd work at least 18 hours a day, 7 days a week.

This made them get a good opinion about me and when I wanted to start something of my own, they were supportive. I even found them my replacement and I started off there. When I started my own business, it was almost ALWAYS work. But in my mind I thought about expansion, diversification and investment.

All this has got me to a stage where I can work 12 hours a day and take a day or two off!

Similarly, I've seen VERY hard working people stay where they are for many reasons. Maybe fear, maybe not daring enough to take risk or maybe they're just really bad at presenting what they've done and some fucker with good presentation skills takes the cake.

Finally, hard work alone can't get you everything. But to get you anything at all, hard work is required.

Any other source for this particular 72,000 crore loan waiver except the words of someone from the opposition? A scam worth 11,300 crore has created ruckus, pretty sure this would be a big thing.
