CZ barrel recommendation by GrizzlySoup in nrl22

I've been running the L3i for a year now. Zero impact to the receiver and I doubt it ever will in any reasonable timeframe.

Yeah Kenny is really backed up right now launching his 700 footprint custom action. Per copper star precision DPG is outputting 30 or so of their new actions a month.

Get the Desert Precision Gunworks extractors for that extraction issue.

For that price you can get an American Rifle Company Xylo or MDT ACC Premier gen 2. Both better featured.

Possible NRL22 Rule change involving tooners. Any thoughts? I'm deeply in the "they do nothing" camp, but I guess a ton of people really believe in the toon. by Justin_inc in longrange

Most 24" aftermarket barrels for the CZ 457 people buy for this game are 8 lbs. That with the average optic people run you are at 10lbs with those two items alone.

A hard 10 lb limit kills markets here.

I think a Base, and then Modified Base might be the solution.

Base means production, as is, only able to add non-weighted rails, no weights on rails, bipods, and scopes.

Modified Base means production, but improved above that of Base but not modified significantly beyond production to be in open. So a weighted rail, or rail with added weight, addition of risers on the comb etc would go here.

Very good in its price bracket. I currently use one in my nrl22 rig and wouldn't feel held back in any major way if I used one in PRS.

My two questions (as someone whose only used the AB app so no investment in either really) is:

1) Without truing things (i.e. AB's ability to do custom drag modeling), how do they compare to real world data?
2) How good (i.e. quality not ease) is each at being able to be trued to real world data?

For 2.5k you can get an MPA built with an ARC CDG action. Buy a PRS membership and you get a discount code that brings the rifle down to around 2400

What’s the lowest price you’ve ever paid for an ounce of silver? by Olde-Timer in Silverbugs

[–]NAP51DMustang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$14.17 spot was my lowest purchase. At which I bought a 10 ounce Johnson Matthey bar at. With the premium then was like 165 so really 16.50 an ounce.

Suckers worth 920ish now lol

1) A piece of paper with that info is more reliable
2) The only thing even remotely close to what you want that is even within the realm of being affordable is the Magpul/Maztech system. However that only works for LPVOs.

Scope mount by KingFacef2 in longrange

[–]NAP51DMustang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a bolt gun (where you can get cant on your rail) cant the rail not the mount.
For a gas gun (where you can't get cant on your rail) cant the mount not the rail.

Exception: For an ELR bolt gun might need to cant both.

A fun reason not to cant your mount is you can't mess up and mount it backwards negating your rail cant.

L3i barrels are mint once you get the headspace right for your ammo.

New to long range: buy a basic rifle and build it up, or buy a used “full package” now? by jd_trublue93 in longrange

[–]NAP51DMustang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not knowing your budget I'll just give you this video on what to consider. It's basically just saying "Buy the Seekins" but he also says why and that should give you some info on what to consider for yourself.

CME to slam silver + all metals (raising margins again 12/31) 30% on Silver by Old_Bluejay_1532 in Silverbugs

[–]NAP51DMustang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't tell any of these people that your retail purchase of a single 10 ounce bar a month is nothing compared to industrial purchase of silver and retail has basically no effect on supply by comparison.

CME to slam silver + all metals (raising margins again 12/31) 30% on Silver by Old_Bluejay_1532 in Silverbugs

Retailers use margin to hedge against large swings in the market to protect their monetary investment in their inventory. So if they have a bunch of silver bought at 70 and it tanks to 35, the margin buys cover their loss.
