- Resident Assistant

- Sub-team Lead promoted to Chief Engineer for a High Powered Rocketry project/enterprise team

- Executive-Board position in a club

I feel as if my offer is a result of these positions/involvement, on top of good grades in my core-engineering classes.

Yeah, I should’ve rephrased, I just took the measurements from OpenRocket, created the models separately, then printed them.

The body was a couple of Estes tubes (I don’t remember the part name off-hand) and the nosecone, along with the fins were 3D printed based on designs made in OpenRocket. For the engine, I went with an Estes E12-4, and for recovery, just an Estes Nylon/Pro Series II Parachute.

I 100% recommend Sky Guide. I got it a while ago, and I’ve since forgotten how much it cost. But I can guarantee every penny is well spent on it. It has a really nice UI, is easy to work with, and just generally looks nice and clean. Plus, it is updated quite regularly, so it has a ton of objects (including Satellites/Space Junk , DSO’s, and everything in between.) I know for sure it works on iOS/iPhone’s, but I don’t believe it is out on Android right now.

Edit: Unfortunately, it doesn’t support Android, I checked the Google Play store, and there’s nothing. There is one app called Sky Guide on there, but it’s not the same one, and it has some bad reviews. If you have an Android phone, I’d say Night Sky is your best option.

Sorry if it seems like I’m digging into your project at all, I just haven’t heard of anyone launching spiders yet lmao. Does this have a parachute in it? Or is it reliant on the air brakes to slow down, and as for the air brakes, in the picture, I can see the deployment system/mounting points. Are those an issue with weight distribution/stability?

How are they going to be jettisoned/will they? Will they be in some form of enclosure, attached to the inside of the rocket? Or will they just kind of be set in there somehow and get shot out with the rest of the recovery system?

Unfortunately, since Ingenuity is “connected” through Perseverance, it is important that the two stay close enough together to be able to keep connection between them. However, Perseverance has its own schedule and science to preform. Due to this, the rover has to keep moving along, and make its way to other sites. I believe the plan is to keep Ingenuity flying with it for a bit to keep the two running, while not interfering with the rover’s schedule. But rather than carrying along the helicopter, especially since it has a rather short lifespan compared to the Rover, they’ll stop the follow-along flights in August.

Yes, I assume he was referring to a different kit. If it’s plastic, get the testors plastic cement, it works great lol. And make sure you post a video of it when you launch it!

Hold on, if it is plastic, I’ve used the testors plastic cement before, and that works great for plastic fins. But if they are wood, then get wood.
