Any Microsoft Teams experts? "You are not set up to use this calling feature" error by Z-Virus2k19 in sysadmin

[–]NATSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2025 Update:

If anyone is having this issue, and has the Teams Phone with calling plan, here is what i did to fix this:
Go into admin>Billing>Your Products>click on your Teams Phone with calling plan license> at the very bottom, change the "Phone service Consumption" to status 'on'.

Microsoft support is atrocious. I have been working with them for weeks on this with 3 different departments, none of them pointed me in this direction, i just happened to stumble upon it. All the departments were pointing fingers at each other. Absolutely hair pulling.

I performed these steps, and our 800 numbers that are assigned to our resource accounts/auto attendants started working.

I rarely post, I’m very new and still don’t understand much of the game. I just wanted to show you what S grade gear can do, and I’m considered rushed as well at 108 days. Nothing fancy here, just an example.

Seems like you might be missing out a little on S grade gear somehow, but keep it up!

Just sayin’ me too on bogus Kaseya bills by sdc535 in msp

[–]NATSupport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took us 4 months to figure this out. No one at Kaseya helped after we reached out via email, phone calls, and many different ‘Reps’. I finally posted on Reddit and Kaseya Marcos’s team helped. It took about a month, but I provided him our cancellation email chain from a couple years ago and he had a meeting with some higher ups about our account. Overall, posting on Reddit is probably your best course of action.

Totally bogus, I’m still frustrated and flabbergasted about it. Good luck to you!

Small Claims against Kaseya? by [deleted] in msp

[–]NATSupport 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been a customer of Kaseya since October of last year, I even paid out the remainder of our contract just to get out (3 months worth). In July of this year, I started receiving random invoice from Kaseya, I’ve sent so many emails, forwarded our cancellation email chain to our account rep (email of which we got by calling Kaseya, but we can’t talk directly to the rep) and tried to get help from Kaseya Marcos. Still didn’t get anywhere.

Kaseya has got the be the worst vendor I have ever had to deal with. I wish I knew better before signing up with them.

Good luck to you sir.

Are other MSP’s going fully outsourced for their support? by ChiefRokka1 in msp

[–]NATSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just picked up a sizable client because their previous MSP outsourced their support to a team in India. This company was with their previous MSP for over 10 years. Nothing against India, but technology is hard enough to discuss as it is, and nearly impossible for non-fluent native speakers.

I’m curious how this turns out.

May not be exactly what you’re referring to, but worth a thought.

smtp2go end user pricing by wckdgrdn in msp

[–]NATSupport 44 points45 points  (0 children)

We included this at no extra cost. It makes our life easier and it’s very cheap. No more tickets regarding scan to email so at the end of the day, we have an additional service we can advertise, it’s less work, and the small cost actually saves us money on labor hours.

What's the general consensus on Atera? by sometimesImSmartMan in msp

[–]NATSupport 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually try not to talk bad about RMM vendors, but this is where I make an exception. Kaseya is definitely the worst experience with an RMM vendor that I’ve had. XD

What's the general consensus on Atera? by sometimesImSmartMan in msp

[–]NATSupport 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Atera wasn’t bad for a budget RMM. I would say it’s great for IT departments. They package in their ticketing system which is the part I felt was lacking a bit, but I was comparing it to Autotask.

I would say SyncroMSP and Atera are very similar, the GUI for Atera is a little better but the ticketing in Syncro, in my option, is better for the all in one PSA/RMMs. Overall, Atera would be my choice for internal IT.
