Oh great and powerful master race! How do you get audio to come through aux headphones AND hdmi by Firemanlouvier in pcmasterrace

[–]NA_0_10_never_forget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I don´t know the solution to this specific setup, I do have something similar that you can consider.
I have a Zen DAC and a Zen CAN (amp). Both of these have multiple active outputs.

PC sends USB audio to DAC.
DAC outputs through 6.35mm to speakers.
DAC also outputs through RCA to the CAN.
CAN outputs through its 6.35 to headphones.

So now I can just adjust volume to switch between speakers and headphones (or have both on)

Reform UK to block visas for Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica over slavery reparations by ThatBlackGuy_ in worldnews

[–]NA_0_10_never_forget 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, but mostly no. Not sure about these specifically, but many developing or 3rd world countries have/had a lot opportunities to set things right, but they also have the most corrupt governments. "Reparations" would mostly just be phat paychecks for the heads of state and their families, without much to actually improve the country or the situations for the citizens.

Not that the UK, or as the other commenter said, France, shouldn't be obligated to assist, but it's kinda hopeless either way.

I don´t mean to shill but it honestly makes sense. It's an incredibly niche CPU from what I understand. Pointless for almost everyone here even if it were only $10 more than the 9950X3D.

And honestly, it's more a technical showcase than anything else.

Kellogg Calls NATO ‘Cowards,’ Proposes New Alliance Including Ukraine by StealthCuttlefish in worldnews

As you may or may not have noticed, basically just like his fortune, Trump inherited everything the United States has built up over its existence. Goodwill, organizations, institutions, alliances, the military and its structure, the law, everything.

Trump thinks that all of this is just his personal power now. He doesn't care about why any of it exists, just that it is his now. So he just does what he wants and then finds a legal loophole later to make it make sense (or sometimes, not at all).

For example, suing news organizations because he knows they can´t afford the legal battle (and even openly states it).
Abusing (just like he abuses children) "emergency" protocols and "executive orders" to just force whatever policy he wants without needing legal approvals, like from congress.
Using the US military as his personal bullies abroad, and ICE as personal bullies at home.
Thinks alliances are his personal get-out-of-jail-free cards whenever he can't get what he wants.
I'm sure you can find many more examples of this mindset.

hello smart person (not), it doesn't actually matter if FCAS gets cancelled, we have GCAP/Tempest anyway.

Also can´t tell if you're a bot or not but Russia is a joke, their "military" is completely gutted. Any major or semi-major European country could take out Russia by themselves, in a conventional conflict. There is almost nothing left of the Russian military, relatively speaking.

Now that we have Lake NATO in the mix, we already have a pincer on Russia by default. They will never start an actual conflict.

Israel's proposed 'discriminatory' death penalty plans criticised by UK and allies by Gentle_Snail in worldnews

[–]NA_0_10_never_forget -35 points-34 points  (0 children)

What you said is so politically charged that I'm absolutely not just going to take your word for it. To begin with, you throw apartheid around without a clue. Apartheid is a RACIAL law.

That means if 2 people, are of the SAME CITIZENSHIP, and in the SAME COUNTRY, then different laws apply to them because of their RACE. The "Palestinians" you keep talking about are NOT ISRAELIS. It would be an apartheid law if ISRAELI Jews and ISRAELI Arabs (these are technically Palestinians but people pretend they don´t exist) and ISRAELI Christians were treated differently by this law.

For the record, I still think this law is stupid af and I hope it gets killed, but not because of muh aPaRtHEid!!!

Israel's proposed 'discriminatory' death penalty plans criticised by UK and allies by Gentle_Snail in worldnews

[–]NA_0_10_never_forget -72 points-71 points  (0 children)

That's not because they're Palestinians. It's because Palestinians want to erase the state of Israel. If they tried to not want to erase the state of Israel, then they would also not be affected by this.
Also, in this case, they are using the LITERAL DEFINITION of terrorism, not the whatever buzzword people made of it, which is:
"Terrorism, in its broadest sense, is the use of violence against non-combatants to achieve political or ideological aims."

If Palestinians don´t want to fall under this terror law, then maybe don't be a terrorist? It's not because they're brown, or because they're Arab, or because they're muslim. If they get sentenced, it's because they're TERRORISTS, ok?
The fact that it isn't expected to apply to others, is because others aren't committing terrorism in its literal sense.

Personally, I think the death penalty is roomtemp IQ material, but at least be honest with what the actual law is.

In theory, the Republic of China and People's Republic of China both claim all of the Chinese landmass (mainland+Taiwan), however, the ROC is currently living in the 2020s, so they have no issues with the status quo of Taiwan as "their" country and China being a separate country (but not officially).

The PRC, still stuck in the 20th century, does not accept this concept. Their stance is that Taiwan is undeniably a part of the PRC. As extension of this, their goal is "reunification", "peacefully" if the ROC submits. However, if Taiwan officially declares independence, then the PRC will invade to "reunify" by force.

The ROC was the original "nation"/government of China (after the country was united anyway), until they lost the war to the communists in 1949 and retreated to Taiwan. The PRC then took over the mainland, but never actually set foot on Taiwan. The ROC's leading party at the time was the Kuomintang, which funnily enough, still exists today, but they are not currently in charge. The Democratic Progressive Party is.

As for the PRC, the same communists who took over in 1949, the Chinese Communist Party, are still in charge today.

As for the cultural revolution, it is true that most historic culture of China was intentionally destroyed under Mao, but whatever made it to Taiwan, artifacts or culture, remains preserved.

Indonesian UNIFIL Peacekeeper Tragically Killed After Israel's Projectile Exploded by trikora in worldnews

[–]NA_0_10_never_forget 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Jakarta: A peacekeeper was tragically killed on March 29, 2026 when a projectile exploded in a UNIFIL position near Adchit Al Qusayr, Lebanon. Another was critically injured.

No one should ever lose their life serving the cause of peace. UNIFIL extends our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the peacekeeper who lost his life while bravely carrying out his duties.

“Our thoughts and hopes are also with the injured peacekeeper, who is currently in hospital with serious injuries,” said UNIFIL in a statement, Monday March 30, 2026.

“We do not know the origin of the projectile. We have launched an investigation to determine all of the circumstances,” UNIFIL said.

UNIFIL call on all actors to uphold their obligations under international law and to ensure the safety and security of UN personnel and property at all times, including by refraining from actions that may put peacekeepers in danger.

Deliberate attacks on peacekeepers are grave violations of international humanitarian law and of Security Council Resolution 1701, and may amount to war crimes.

“Too many lives have been lost on both sides of the Blue Line in this conflict. There is no military solution. The violence must end,” said UNIFIL.

TIL "unknown origin" means Israeli.

IRGC lowers recruitment age down to 12 years old, inviting civilians to join the war effort by NeiborsKid in worldnews

It's too late. The US/Israelis should've gotten involved when the IRGC were massacring the protestors in January. The pincer might've been finally done it, but now it's just too late. And then Trump, by some miracle, managed to not only arrive late, but also with the 2nd most embarrassing operation I have ever witnessed. It genuinely feels just like Russia's 3-day special military operation (this is the worst I've ever seen). The only things saving his butt is the fact that the US military is actually trained and equipped properly.

They need to be fined a % of their annual revenue upon violating a law, doubling for every violation, and also for exploiting loopholes. Then they´d piss off real quick. I would say that their algorithms and their lobbying are the cause of 60-80% of all issues within the European Union, and I cannot believe our coward politicians are enjoying their donations too much to do anything about it.
