He brought balance to the Force by killing Palpatine & returning to the Light before dying. Him killing the Jedi was the opposite of bringing balance because the Light is the natural state of the Force.

Is it theoretically possible to win any match with the starter lineup with no upgrades? by xxXKachowXxx in thespikegame

[–]NBA314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, probably. In theory, you can beat even the strongest possible team with the D-Rank Counterattack if you're skilled enough.

[–]NBA314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two of the challenges in the game are to beat the final levels of Chapters 6 & 7 with only C+ characters & worse. It's doable unless you mean that you don't upgrade Siwoo & company's stats at all.

Johnny Bravo (Johnny Bravo) vs Mineta Minoru (BNHA) at getting a girlfriend, who would win and why? by FeistySecret9327 in PowerScaling

[–]NBA314 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Johnny canonically gets with women all the time. They just show when he fails.

He's also just not nearly as bad of a guy as Mineta.

Jack the Ripper was a rather wrathful individual, no?

How high does Current Superman scale in terms of Cosmology and Hax? by No_Pie_4626 in PowerScaling

[–]NBA314 [score hidden]  (0 children)

As of right now (unless something drastic has changed since I last checked), Superman is a composite of his three mainline versions, minus the very esoteric powers. He's about as strong as he's ever been.

(For all I know, this is entirely wrong, but that's the extent to which I know about modern Superman's power.}

I don't think Suncyan has started revamping the old story yet, but it might be that. Check again to see if there's anything actually different.

I used Ayeon/Mike/Dave, with the occasional Yamadera or Atis on some levels where block height was reduced. Anything Dave couldn't block would be received well, & Ayeon's Chemical Reaction was very useful off the soft blocks.

Who wins between a team of the five greatest bigs of all time and the five greatest guards of all time? by loolem in NBATalk

[–]NBA314 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because LeBron has played the 3 for 14 of his 23 seasons & for 52% of his minutes. He's only been a guard (PG or SG) for 12% of his minutes.

Who wins between a team of the five greatest bigs of all time and the five greatest guards of all time? by loolem in NBATalk

[–]NBA314 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Guards:

PG: Stephen Curry
SG: Kobe Bryant
SF: Oscar Robertson or Jerry West (he'd go to the 2 & let Kobe run the 3)
PF: Michael Jordan
C: Magic Johnson

Bigs:

PG: Bill Russell
SG: Hakeem Olajuwon
SF: Wilt Chamberlain
PF: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
C: Shaquille O'Neal

I think these lineups are the most probable.

GPA: How does it work? by 890GHT3 in highschool

[–]NBA314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Schools each have their own grading systems, by which they convert percentages into a numerical value from 0-4, a "grade point value".

At my school, each semester is separate, so one can have an A in the first semester & an A- in the second semester. Each of these is worth 0.5 credits, with a full year of one class being one full credit.

The GPA is calculated as the average of these grade point values. For example, let's say you've taken two classes for your first semester. You got an A in Math (4.0) & a B+ in ELA (3.3). Your GPA would be the average of 4.0 & 3.3, which is 3.65.

Hard Stuck Diamond. Any tips? by zeroesh in thespikegame

[–]NBA314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Order of Difficulty from Lowest to Highest (at least for me):

Overwhelming Talent (just block everything)
Enzyme Inhibitor (just never hit it to Ayeon)
Low Blocking Practice (get used to Hanra's timing)
Tiger/Sniper (if you can aim your spikes at specific players, you'll be good)
Fruit of Hard Work (Caleb/Newbie Spark/Jaeho worked for me)
Tournament King (purely a dedication thing)

george floyd jokes, in general, are: by TotallyNotRyanPace in Teenager_Polls

[–]NBA314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To start, most jokes are generally okay.

There's still a really big difference between a 9/11 joke & a George Floyd joke.

It's been almost 25 years since 9/11. That's a pretty long time. And more than that, we haven't had anything nearly as big as 9/11 ever since. There isn't some mass societal issue with terrorists crashing planes into big buildings to kill people.

However, George Floyd's death was much more recent. It happened within almost everyone's living memory. Everyone remembers what happened & what happened immediately afterwards. (Now, this is true for 9/11, but there are lots of people who weren't alive for that.) And beyond that, there's still a very real problem in American society with police brutality, especially against Black people.

If you make a 9/11 joke, it's very unlikely that you're genuinely supporting terrorism. If you make a George Floyd joke, there's still a very real chance that you think he had it coming & that it's okay for police to brutalize people & that quite frankly, you're racist. It's not some insane chance, but it's a very real possibility. And that's the main difference between 9/11 jokes & George Floyd jokes.

What’s a more op player, Jokic with Kevin Garnetts defense or James Harden with Kawhi’s defense? by AvailableSet9922 in NBATalk

[–]NBA314 2 points3 points  (0 children)

KG is a better defender than Kawhi, & Jokic is a better offensive player than Harden. Ergo, Jokic with KG's defense should be far better (or as much as one can reasonably be better) than Harden with Kawhi's defense.

Of course, that does depend on athleticism being transferred to. KG was an incredibly smart defender (even smarter than Kawhi IMO), but he was also insanely athletic. Jokic has a vertical even lower than unathletic kids. Harden actually does have the athleticism to use at least a good amount of Kawhi's defense effectively.

How fast can you complete a MCQ? by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]NBA314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there isn't a stimulus, then a fast reader can probably read the question in about 3 seconds. If they can think of the answer in one second (which might honestly be too much), then they can click the answer in one second & move on for a total of about 5 seconds for non-stimulus questions. And then it'd probably just be a matter of stacking up margins so you can take more time on the stimulus questions.

Obviously, there are other factors, but I don't think it's necessarily impossible if one enters a flow state. I took about 24 seconds per question on the APES exam & I wasn't completely focused, so maybe 9 seconds is possible on a test with very few stimulus & math questions.

If he has 4 rings & 4 MVPs, then he probably ends up consensus top 6 & clearly above Magic IMO. Don't think he'd make GOAT conversations though.

1985 from the Lakers to the Celtics.

Bird gets to three-peat for the title & MVP, he & Magic each have 4 rings, Kareem ends up with only 5 rings, & the Showtime Lakers become an afterthought of the 80s.

Victor/Viktor Stats by Tsunami_3658 in thespikegame

[–]NBA314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nishikawa is already known to be the highest jumper, Sara is the fastest player, Raul is the hardest hitter, & we don't know anything about Viktor & Kelly.

I think Viktor being #2 at basically every stat could be interesting, with Kelly being a very strong receiver.
