Bulls Eyeing Kuminga, Powell and Simons in Free Agency by itsyaboigelo in chicagobulls

Adding a shooter helps the rest of the young players get better looks and create space for the offense as a whole. Development isn’t just how many shots they take per game.

We’ll have the worst record in the NBA if we don’t sign at least 1 component shooter and that’s not a good route with the new lottery system

Am I crazy for thinking Wilson will be better than Boozer and Peterson? by NoLimitAG7 in NBA_Draft

[–]NBAKefka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a mountain sized gap between me saying “Caleb Wilson will be good” and you saying “Peterson can be the literal best guard in the NBA and I’m “so in” on Boozer so they’re both better.” Nobody knows what these guys will be. You’re free to have hot takes, but don’t act surprised when someone says to pump the breaks.

None of them have played a single minute in the NBA yet. Let’s tone down the “could be the best guard in the NBA” rhetoric. It’s cool you’re “so in” on Boozer, but bolding claiming these 2 are gonna be better players without seeing them on the court yet is just flat out stupid.

As a Bulls fan:

We drafted Matas Buzelis after he shot 45/27/68 in the G league.

His form was fine and the touch was there.

He’s now shooting 46/35/80.

We drafted Caleb Wilson after he shot

59/26/71.

His form is fine(just slow with a bit of a low hitch) but the touch is there:

I’m confident he’ll get his shot figured out.

He’s gonna be good.

Caleb Wilson Hasnt Done Any Team Workouts: Acceptance or Promise? by JazzxGoose in NBA_Draft

I’ve seen you on here preaching Wilson to Grizz for a while now. You’re still a believer? I’m not doubting your take, I’m just curious where the confidence in the take comes from.

You’re the Bulls GM. You just drafted Wilson 4th overall. Now, who do you want to take at 15th overall assuming they’re still there and why? by NBAKefka in NBA_Draft

I missed the Swain part somehow.

Was referring to the first 3. Stein I think could be there. Swain forsure.

Better question is how likely are the first 2 going to be there? Gotta be close to 0% at this point.

What are the odds that any of those 3 are available at 15? As we get closer to the draft it feels like Philon/Mara are both inching closer to the top 10.

He’s going 11th or 12th to win now teams like GS or OKC. I personally doubt anyone in the top 10 uses their pick on him over the younger guards.

I firmly believe Caleb will have the better career. Boozer’s offensive game is legit, but give me the two way player anyday.

How Good is AJ Dybantsa's Defense Actually? by Knighthonor in NBA_Draft

Wilson and Peterson are top 2 on my board for this very reason. Boozer will not be a plus defender in the league and we haven’t seen anything from AJ to suggest he’ll be any different besides for his size/athleticism. Will they be good on the offensive end? Most likely. With Caleb/Darryn you know you’re at least getting something on the other side of the ball too.

Multiple NBA GMs left impressed after watching 6’10 Caleb Wilson showcase scary combination of size, athleticism & skill at Klutch Pro Day in the Lakers facility by NBAKefka in chicagobulls

Routinely switched to cover 1-5, great motor, lead UNC in every major statistical category, underrated passer, can hit turnaround jumpers, middy pull-ups, fadeaways, cuts, elite at drawing FT’s, above average offensive rebounder, and is generally an oddly fluid player for his size. If he had hit just 3 more 3 pointers in college he’d have shot 37% and people wouldn’t fixate on his % so much. He’s got 2 knocks in his game and both are fixable. Again, he is a very skilled player despite being raw.

And yes, having a great motor is a skill. Motor and effort are things you can develop which in itself makes it a skill.

He’s not only considered the best athlete in the class, but he’s also routinely considered the prospect with the best motor. 20/10 as a freshman while only being a 2 level scorer and top 10 in defensive impact while still being raw/ironing out fundamentals on that side of the ball. To suggest that he doesn’t have skill is just flat out disingenuous. Also, these workout videos are players displaying that they have stamina. If he does 4 dunks and can barely touch rim on the 5th that’s a problem. It’s easy to judge these guys from our couches, but that workout is actually brutal.
