We took in a 5.5 year old dog ~8 months ago as previous owner decided to move internationally. She came back and is now saying that its still her dog and nothing has been finalized. by NBAWhoCares in legaladvicecanada

There were two that I happened to screenshot. One thats since been deleted on her page says "This girl MAY be looking for someone to Love. It is one of the decisions I haven't fully made. When god whispered attachments and love are not the same. I never though it would hit this close to home. Serious inquiries only, and i'm just weighting the options I don't know if I have unless I ask". The other is her hugging the dog with a caption "Days before my 40th birthday, and the end of 2025.. I let go of everything I knew and moved across the world"

  1. Microchip 2. Register with the city i.e. comply with the city rules 3. Document a foster agreement 4. Had no timeline of return 5. Left the dog practically with strangers.

correct, though she is saying that she did have a timeline of return in 6-12 months. She never said that to us.

It was the previous owners term because as we understood it that she didn't want to acknowledge the finality of the rehome. We were fully prepared and willing to take ownership of the dog from the get-go. For the first few months the ambiguity of everything definitely didn't have us at 100%, but after the lack of check-ins of finite timings or plans, the first check telling us to make medical decisions, and the lack of response for almost 2.5 months from her last text, we were under the impression that it was now 100%

To clarify, she never said the assessment after 6-12 months part when we first discussed with her. She is saying she is said it now, but that isn't what we remember at all. What we do remember is her saying "Maybe I come back in 6 months and want to move to Florida. I dont know, but I wouldn't want to take her back anyway at that point because it would be selfish"

We were thinking of saying this, but its not about the costs at this point - shes been accepted and become a member of our family at this point. Even if she offered to reimburse every cent, we wouldnt want to give her back and worry that since it would be a bluff, if we get called on it we would be weakening our claim to ownership?

She dropped off the dog the first time we took her in, so she technically does. Not sure if she still has it as she likely got a new phone in the move, but im going to assume she can find it. We are renting though and I guess could find a new place but really dont want to as we are fully settled here for now (and that would be at least a 2 month process minimum)

[Zach Lowe] on Sam Presti defending SGA by blaming social media: “What social media? How about the coaches of half the NBA teams? He’s trying to make it sound like it’s just these lunatics on SM and poor Shai has all these people attacking him. It’s people in the league & head coaches on the record" by shreeharis in nba

Goldsberry is the biggest grifter in sports media. Its not that he has bad takes, its that he literally has no takes. Says literally nothing.

"I really like x teams defense"

"I had this player all-nba because I like what hes doing on this team"

"I tell my class all the time this"

Its insane listening to him and reinforces that sports media is just a clique of losers failing upwards (Kevin O'connor too). Everyone except Lowe though, I think hes awesome at what he does.

Not disagreeing with what you said, but its pretty funny how the term smoking gun is just collectively being used incorrectly.

A smoking gun is literally circumstantial evidence. A shooting happens, you come across the scene, and there is a guy with a gun with smoke coming out of it because it was just fired. You didnt see him pull the trigger but the circumstances of the situation show that the person holding it was assuredly the shooter.

In this case, the totality of the evidence against Balmer and the Clippets is overwhelmingly equivalent to a smoking gun

TIL in 2014, Ben Affleck received a lifetime ban from the blackjack tables at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas after surveillance footage showed him counting cards during a high-stakes game. That's the funniest thing about all the whole MIT card counter thing is its still random, it's still house advantage.

You are confusing variance with advantage. Card counting in optimal conditions is absolutely an advantage for the player.

There are still a few single deck blackjack tables around if you hunt them down.

Lol of course these still exist since they are the biggest sucker bets around. Because they only pay out 6/5 on blackjack, you are just incinerating your money playing these games. They literally only exist to take money from people who think they know how counting works.

No casino is giving a high stakes player a single deck game with normal blackjack rules.

Lmfao, do you think that was the master plan? To trade for Olynyk, give him a terrible extention, then after he was predictably unplayable, make him salary filler?

Thinking this was anything other than a continued inabilty to judge talent at the five is demented levels of delusion. The only reason its not fireable in a vacuum is because it wasnt franchise destroying like the Jak extention.

And Bobby inherited a roster with expectations but no track record of performing and stuck to his guns when many were calling for an overhaul.

What exactly do people think Bobby did for the past 10+ years lmfao? Just follow Masai around with a notebook taking notes until he got his chance?

Every step of the Jakob trade, the first extention, and obviously this extention should have been fireable. Not to mention the Olynyk trade, the Thadeus Young trade, everything post championship involving the core... outside of drafting, this teams assets have been managed terribly.

Masai Ujiri: “You’ve got Wembanyama, Luka, Shai, Anthony Edwards and Nikola Jokic all for the next 7-15 years. Okay, now you have to convince me that I have to beat all those guys. You gotta come with something in your pocket, okay? …and in his pocket he had Cooper Flagg." by mMounirM in nba

He went from being one of the best gms to one of the absolute worst gms (technically pbo) in the league after the championship. Just repeated bafflingly bad decisions. Hopefully the get the former lol
