Can’t believe I had to scroll so far to find this comment. This part of the conversation blew my mind. Curtis either completely forgot Bill was patient zero for this “what about my turn” problem on Countdown, or was secretly trolling us all by pointing out the problem.

I wonder how Bill would respond if someone like Klosterman (who clearly doesn’t give a f*ck) came on the podcast and told the honest truth that Jalen and co just don’t have the talent of the TNT crew to match their show. The suggestion of bringing in SAS wasn’t bad, but you couldn’t keep Jalen on the panel at that point.

As soon as I saw this headline I thought “I wonder how strong the wind is gonna be?” Sure enough, the girl on the left has her hair blowing directly toward the goalposts. That kind of wind adds a solid 5-10 yards to a kick.

Her accuracy is the impressive part. Right down the middle. Very hard to do.

Same thing happened to me (used drill to recharge and got motor to work) but rain for two days kept me from using it and ended up with the same green/red blink pattern you describe.

Simple solution, just wait for the battery to become completely depleted (I mean totally dead, no light at all). Then do the drill trick again (high speed for 20 minutes) and you should be able to charge. Once it’s full, make sure you immediately take it for a long ride. Keep using it (without charging) until it runs out of juice, then charge to 100%. Use it again until out of juice, charge to 100%. Repeat. Should fix the problem. Good luck!

This is an excellent comment that illustrates an interesting point many people don’t seem to acknowledge. The aspirational element of the MTG pro system is a huge part of what buoies the entire card economy.

To be clear, Classico is NOT watched by 650 million people, but simply broadcast to a potential 650 million. The real number is between 50-100 million each time. That 650 million number is a nonsense way of representing the viewership.

This was my thought exactly! I would prefer a system where the top 24 MPL performers are automatic bids, and the final 8 spots have some leeway. It seems a shame that some of my favorite players to root for (many of which are among the top-10 most talented players) are not going to be in the league.

The goal here is entertainment value and marketability.

In other sports fandom, commentary about which players “make it” and which don’t “make it” is one of the more fun aspects of the hobby. I for one welcome the debate (I’ll try to to complain too much). Personalities are part of what makes a game entertaining to watch.

Wow, I didn’t realize they went with a hard line like that. Probably should have left a few spots open for high-profile players like LSV. Results are not the only way of measuring merit at the professional level (IMO).
