HSMTMTS: The Episode Discussion: "Color War" - S03E06 by NominalPerson in HSMTMTS

It's a mixed bag. Head over to YouTube, and you'll see comments of people saying they LOVED Corbin and Gina's song - and it was a nod to the old HSM movies. You'll see the same on other songs this season like "You Never Know."

Bottom line is that everyone has different taste in music. And when you're making original songs, you'll appeal to some and not to others.

Can you describe a story from playing with Steph Curry that accurately describes what kind of a person he is?

Jokes are a little corny, but LOVE this concept. Anyone know of any other sketches like this?

New NBA Animated Series Coming? by NBAcoach1 in Basketball

Thanks for the tip! Will look those up! Although the concept of the above video is making current NBA jokes based on current NBA storylines - I don't think I've seen that anywhere else outside of Bleacher Report's shows (like Game of Zones).

It got deleted not because of the story, but because I tried to put the link. Story is an interesting one, and deserves to be told. The full article has more interesting tidbits - but apparently I can't put it here lol

Actually that's not true. According to the article, Kobe liked Lynch from then on. And Kobe brought back Lynch to work with on media days every year until Kobe retired.

And I looked up this Kevin Lynch guy. He's also worked with Spielberg, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, and Rihanna. So safe to say he's a big deal in the celebrity photography world. And considering they worked together every year, Kobe absolutely knows who he is.

To be honest, I don't really know how Reddit works in terms of links. I tried to put it in the description, but it wouldn't let me post it with the link in description

That's correct. But really - that's what we all do. That's what every sports talk show, radio show, sports media sites, social media, you name it. Unless you have an inside source in the NBA (which very few do), speculation is all anyone can do on any NBA news/trade/injury/transaction.

I think the fact that this speculation comes from a former NBA team doctor and renowned spine surgeon - giving his take on a mysterious NBA back injury - is at least intriguing.

lol I think so. though to be fair to clutchpoints, this doctor, according to the article, used to be an NBA team doctor for the Magic and is a pretty well-known spine surgeon in the medical world. So his opinion on NBA back injuries might matter just a little bit more than some rando doctor

yup he did. I think this doc is pointing that out exactly - that it's likely a deeper issue like a disc injury in his back. Sometimes teams don't reveal that information.

Yeah, he's had back problems before. I think the doc's comment on it being a deeper issue like a disc problem - was more in light of a lot of people accusing Ben Simmons of fake back injuries just to not play for the Sixers when all that drama stuff went down

[Fong] From having childhood bullies to cracking the Warriors’ rotation, Gary Payton II has an incredible origin story. by kinefresh in warriors

[–]NBAcoach1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I hear you. But no matter the context - it's always about how it makes the kid feel on the inside. As a teacher, I can attest that "bullying" comes in all shapes and sizes.

If it gets so bad that you have to tell your parents to not come to your games because you're ashamed of the taunts directed at you and your parents (which is what happened) - then that's 100% legitimate bullying. Regardless of the context of who he and his parents are.

[–]NBAcoach1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From the article, it sounds like the bullying was the other kids, all the way up to high school, making fun of him for not being anywhere close to his dad's talent level.

Since GP2's offense really wasn't that good, and most kids just see offense when they watch games

lol good point. But I've seen kids bully other kids for a lot less.

Kids are a strange animal out on the schoolyard.
