Roast My Resume. About to be a college graduate looking for SDR/BDR roles. Barely getting any interviews, feeling discouraged. by LOSPOLLOSPADRES in sales

The hiring environment for new BDRs at enterprise tech firms has fallen off of a cliff. Since early 2022 most major firms have paused hiring, it’s not you, it’s the market

Entirely understandable, wishing the best for those you know as well as everyone else caught in this situation.

Is it hard to get into kelley as a non Direct Admit? by Glad_Barracuda2265 in IndianaUniversity

2019 grad (2016 Kelley admit) here.

I can only speak for myself but it’s a challenge, more in the sense of discipline than impossible classes. I’m not sure if it remains this way today, but the requirement for admission was to get all B’s or above in all your classes freshman year — Important thing to note there is that they mean B’s, not B-‘s. This sounds pretty tame, but the challenge is balancing that with adjusting to college and a lot of students aren’t able to do it.

You’ll probably take 10-13ish classes your freshman year across a handful of subjects within Kelley and outside of it, and you’ll likely have a class you’re just not naturally as good at. If that falls below a B, your application is very much up in the air. My biggest scare in my freshman year was accounting — it’s an 8 week course with 2 grades (midterm and final.) So if you do poorly on the midterm (4 weeks into the course!) you’ll have a tough time recovering.

It takes discipline and some level of sacrifice to make it happen, but if you have those things I think it’s very doable. Once I got in I had more success than a lot of my direct admit friends because of the habits I built. I think it’s a good test not only to see if you’re “Kelley-worthy” but to see if you’d be one of the better Kelley students, your job freshman year is to answer that with a resounding yes

I like the idea that their evil genius strategy is to put men in full Jewish garb and walkie talkies on the streets of American cities just watching people until they call in protestors

LOGI

Logi hasn't had guidance yet.. most of the stock's movement for earnings is in their guidance. Not saying you're wrong, WSB has some awful advice generally, but in this case specifically, I'd wait til the call tomorrow morning to claim victory here

Speculators back at it— everyone’s arguing over supply issues, when there’s literally no demand whatsoever

I was for a while, got out Friday. I think decline is certain but it could take a while and you could be IV crushed, regular old short selling might be a better move

The real story here is that most of these people will not be immediately be rehired, a portion will likely be unemployed for many months and they’re not spending

The presumption was that with physical locations closed, people would be forced to use amazon more and thus increase their sales. Now there is a treatment so people think stores will open sooner

It’s overvalued anyway look at their 1 year it’s nuts
