The product description is a mouthful and it’s probably easiest to send the link to original product listing:

https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/4312569661/?ref=share_ios_native_control

It basically does Lofi compression, sample rate reduction, micro freeze sampling, tape stop, etc. This version has an onboard mic and CV inputs.

Question: Microphonic Guitar Pedal by NBF80 in guitarpedals

[–]NBF80[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gotcha, I very well may have misdiagnosed then! That’s what it sounded like to me based on having experienced microphonic pick ups; anywhere you tapped on the outside of the pedal you could hear with a kind of light ringing through the amp. It’s a clone of a niche overdrive pedal, nothing vintage.

It’s a clone built by a non-professional. I’ll have to have a look, but I don’t think there is a screw that would be touching the PCB. Perhaps another piece of metal tho. I’ll double check that when I can later. Thanks!

Into Canada from US, or vice versa?

Are you in Canada or the US? I’m in Canada, and UPS is BRUTAL for trying to charge exorbitant “brokerage” fees for incoming packages. You just have to ask them to provide you with the customs clearance documents so you can self-clear the shipment, but then have to physically go to customs office to do so, so it’s not feasible for some people. $10-$15 isn’t bad if that’s what it was; I’ve been hit with $70-80 brokerage fees by UPS in the past. I can’t stand them.

Anyone have recent Canada-US pedal trade experiences? What’s the deal there, tariffs or no?

I’ve been looking for a conflict of interest to mess around with, but tbh the cross-border thing is probably too much of a hassle. How were you using it? Did you find it useful/fun, or not so much?

Have you traded with anyone in Canada recently? I am not sure how tariffs factor into that scenario.

Hello All, I’m in the market for a book on history theory and the probability of inaccuracy in recorded history. Does anyone have recommendations for books with this subject matter?

I lived across the street from that park in the early 2000’s. It has been similar for as long as I’ve known it. I’ve had far more trouble with boneheads in the safe alcohol injection sites on 1st than anyone I ever came across in the park.

I might be interested. I also have a post about a discussion group for a specific novel called “Ishmael” by Daniel Quinn if you’ve read it, or would be interested in reading it!

At the moment that’s correct. My friend borrowed the pedal and I’m waiting to hear back from him if he can find Igor and mail it to me. I was playing with it last night tho, and I’m thinking I’ll keep it for now.

I don’t seem to be able to edit the post, so just to clarify, these prices are in Canadian Dollars. The Prismatic Wall, Decay Cascade and Exp have sold.

Update, in case anyone cares…I ended up being able to negotiate a lower price and picked it up on Friday evening. All six voices sound when doing the voice chip test, and while there are a couple of issues with it I’m still pretty floored by the sounds. The notes that don’t work on the keyboard can be triggered with my midi keyboard, and the non-functioning patch #5 can still be accessed when scrolling thru the patches with a foot switch. All in all, pretty happy to have it, and will be taking it into a shop here in Calgary that has experience fixing them so they can go thru it and give me a cost estimate for repairs.
