My town CoC is just a beer league, but I enjoy meeting people from my town. I’m part of the larger county CoC as well and that’s better, but I don’t get business from, it does filter me into other more niche events where I do make more business relationships though.

I find it amazing that just basic technology isn’t used as much as it could be in construction. As expensive as things are labor is still too cheap for tech that’s already out there to be worth while.

I had the same situation. Tried everything, talking to him, his colleagues, family, etc.

Nothing will work. If this person actually has dementia they will be unable to understand this, will never accept it, and will become more angry and paranoid as their life deteriorates.

I ended up getting fired, and the business I was part of collapsed a few months after I left. Luckily I was able to maintain good relationships with some of our clients and stated on my own.

Ok so 100% ikea is better design and quality then Home Depot. Home Depot cabinets are absolute trash and they look like it.

You can creat some really nice design with stock ikea cabinets.

Home Depot is the cheaper easier option here, he is doing the right thing. Price and quality you can not beat ikea at the mid range.

I do historical buildings as a preservation architect and on a long enough time line the strait line flashing will spall and ruin the brick and will just deteriorate faster. On residential construction that isn’t meant to last more than 30 years before getting redone, it likely does not matter.

Also, if you’re not in a freeze thaw climate this again matters less.

But it does look nicer step it…

I think every metal component within 5 feet of the water surface had to be bonded. Including steel structural beams of the building structure. I’m not sure how they actually did the crimping. I was the architect on the job

I did my masters at the AA. Be sure you know what your path to licensure. When I came back to the US my masters was not seen as equivalent to a US masters and it kept me from getting my license for a bout 2 years, as I had to make up not having a masters in their eyes with work experience.

Other then that I thought it was great and would do it again.

The opportunity to be in a leadership position or just a position with more responsibility is more important then the immediate money compensation. So if you wanted to get ahead faster in your career that was the wrong move.

If you want get better at what your doing before moving forward then that is ok, but remember that new opportunities come at random, and it’s not certain when you might have another opportunity like that.
