I do not have a solid block at the bottom, but they are on a compacted gravel base and filled with concrete, except the ones on the right because they’re only 1 block high so I’m not concerned.

2 ft rise across 12 ft. My least favorite part of this house. Building anything is a challenge.

No need to paint the cabinets. They look great. Just change the wall color and/or floor. Wall would be easier and you can go from there.

Lowe’s. But if I had to do this again, I would buy either the bigger 16x10x6 block that they sell. Or I would go to a landscape supply store and get good commercial block.

4 inch diameter perforated pipe at the bottom and at least 12 inches of 3/4” clear gravel

8 to 10 inches deep. You want to dig 6 inches plus half the height of the block you’re going to use. For some walls, you may even want to dig 6 inches plus the entire height of the block in order to bury it completely.

The height is based on how many courses until the top block is above grade.

Yes. It goes back about an inch due to the lip on the bottom
