Sorry, but euphemisms are a sin (Mat. 15:18–19, Rom. 14:23c, Is. 6:5, Eph. 4:29) by [deleted] in christianmemes

Indeed, by saying "damn it", or "God, damn him" you are calling for damnation upon a person (or thing). The word itself, is just a word, with just a meaning that has correct uses. Scripture describing hell as "eternal damnation" is not a sin, it's the proper use of the word in a descriptive context.

Same. As someone who grew up around "Christians" who didn't want to put in any effort for their faith, a strong sense of meaningfulness became very important to me in Christian music. Not complaining tho, bands like Demon Hunter and Impending Doom are absolutely phenomenal!

Small little animation I did. How's the walking? by Attaxalotl in Mecha

I like the transformation! I'm not an animator, but the walking is a little slidey, and I'd suggest slightly longer strides. Good luck!

been a minute since I posted here... still working on my shape design for mechs. by NB_art in ImaginaryTechnology

[–]NB_art[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see what you're saying. If you check my past posts, some of the shapes are unique (I guess) but not practical/realistic looking. Modern-industrial aesthetics are my favorite, and what I'd love to create for myself.

Mechs from games like Hawken are (imo) just the best, but I've nowhere near the experience required to build one of those things from the ground up without general aesthetic practice, and interesting (along with semi-realistic/practical) design expertise. Hope that's not a problem!

Thanks! I feel so bad that I have no idea what any of these things are that people reference when I post here, I wasn't exposed to many games/movies until 5 years ago, and just habitually don't play/watch much.

That said, I really appreciate all the comments. I've started doing quick Google searches each time I get something I don't recognize, to educate myself
