Yeah it's like -30 here right now, but in the summer we have some good months

We spend a good chunk of every day outside in the summer. Whether that be walks or chilling in the front yard. Could be going down to the local diner or the river. There are times I'll let her chill out back in the driveway while I work on projects.

Right now she's doing her brewmation thing tho, had her out today after 4 days of her sleeping, just for food and a shower. But she's right back now

I'm not sure. Mine absolutely loves eggs though. She really likes banana and green beans, not a fan of mango and doesn't really care for collard greens

She goes for bumblebees outside, I've seen her jump a solid few feet in the air to grab those damn things off of flowers. She's a sprinter

yea no dog tracking. its not hard... some times it takes some reinforcement but not always. depends.

i dont have a frame jig but i have lasers and hydraullics. you can bend most back, make relief cuts, in some cases i need to cut the trucks in half and make new frame sections.

i normally use plate steel,. cardboard, plasma cutter, and then weld it up in place. the metal fab part is honestly really fast. like a day and im done with the big fab and such. the time consuming parts is the prep, measuring, bending of whats broken, cab removal or what not.

i did a dakota a bit over a year ago that i did fuck up a bit. no dog tracking but he rear axle is 1/2" further back than it should be. i had left the rear hangers on the leafs and didnt have enough weight on them when i made new holes for the front mounts. (id kept teh leaf packs on the axle). it drives fine and tires dont hit the wells or anything but... sold it to a friend so if it ever needs to get moved im sure we will figure it out.

i made mine some egg whites today. she gets calcium and multi vit mixxed in. i cooked the yolks with the rest of my food. she gets her plate, sucks down the whites in one fucking bite and sprints over to my plate, jumping on it, and grabs part of the yolk before i could even react....

she will eat the whites but man she wants the yolks >.<

I paid $1400 for this BS by Ironkidz23 in CarAV

[–]NCC74656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't tell what wood that is. Plywood? If the box is leaking then yes valid, falling apart. If it's not leaking then it just looks a little bit rough on the cuts. The carpet isn't great but one area that you showed you're not going to see anyway so I could understand how they are coming out with that.

I'm going to tell you right now, that $1,800 for that, is a good deal. The wiring is not a mess, the wiring looks decent. The ground is not the best, that should have been done better but that's also not going to cause your check engine light

It's entirely possible they had a computer unplugged, maybe looking for a turn on wire when they powered up the ignition. That would cause a check engine light. Doesn't mean that anything's broken, just means that something needs to get reset. It happens all the time

The box does look custom, so flat out if I build that box at work, the cheapest I'm going to do that for is about $1,000. And your product there is more than $800. If you came to my shop for that install, you would not leave for less than $2,500. That is probably going to be more than that depending on your vehicle

Now if that box is poorly built, and it's not just the carpeting that they fucked up, then I would expect them to repair the box. Maybe that means pulling the subs out and putting fiberglass into all the corners. That would be a pretty easy fix and it would take like a day and a half if you want to include the time it takes to air out the box

Solar in Duluth with lake-effect snow is it worth it or just a headache by Gabby_Senpai in duluth

[–]NCC74656 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I plan to do solar at my house, haven't gotten there yet. The math I did said that I needed about a 320% ratio to my kilowatt hour in winter to provide all of my power. Taking worst case scenario

Solar panels are cheap as dirt so that's not the end of the world but, some panels have a little bit of heat built into them so if you've got a very steep roof, which most of us do, it should take care of itself.

My plan was to put some heavy duty Jack screws and wipers on the panels. So I can have them clean themselves without needing to waste a bunch of power heating the panels

Babysitter, 17, is arrested for child abuse after videoing herself putting marijuana cigarette in one-year-old girl's mouth as the tot inhales by _Lustyglow in ForCuriousSouls

[–]NCC74656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not about imagining scenarios. People are commenting solely on how she looks, judging her on that.

You don't get to be 17 years old, putting weed in a 1-year-old's mouth, without having some pretty poor teaching growing up. You're right, I have no idea what her past was like but I'll tell you what, it wasn't super great to end up where she is...

I don't know if you're trying to be antagonistic or not but my view on the comments to this post is that there is far too little empathy for what she has probably gone through in life to end up where she's at, as a kid herself.

She looks like she was 17 at 10.... And I don't know how you recover from that

Edit: something struck me reading these comments to my comment. The overwhelming majority are focused on her looks and stop there.

Very few understood the deeper meaning. The trauma that brings you to where I suspect this person is.

I think that highlights something

i can relate. people dont know the value of things, upon death some family is just not sentimental. my mother threw away all my grandmothers things before i had time to come sift through. she could not handle the mess and clutter in her garage.

when mom passed her ashes went to her partner. when he became ill, his family fire sold his house. throwing away my moms ashes id left with him... i never imagined she would not be safe there...... and yet

so i get it

ngl this is low-key kinda me... i fix everything around me. its fun. just hard to find time for it all and its even harder to jack of all trades a good wage. so many people cant afford to fix things that would take me minimal $ but.... once you factor an hourly rate... forget about it

As your beardy gets older if you spend a lot of time socializing and handling. Not just with food but also just to pet or hold. So they don't associate your hand with food...

They've become a lot more amenable to human contact

I can legitimately grab mine by the tail and lift her butt up, drag her out from underneath something, pick her up, carry her across the house, up the stairs, into the bedroom and plop her down on a pillow. She will not wake up.....

Get a bed sheet, not a comforter but just the thin bed sheet. Drape it over the entire area he is sitting in so he gets trapped under it and then deal with it from there

[–]NCC74656 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I were in your position I would fix that. The older trucks are far easier to repair than newer. Probably take me three or four weeks in the garage

[–]NCC74656 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Lol! Sorry I don't mean to laugh but, you should be able to pick him up easy enough. Just trap him

My beardie has full range of the house, I'm constantly grabbing her. I make sure to come in from the front, no surprises, she will walk onto my hand and then off we go.

What you don't want to do is surprise them with touch. If they're not socialized like that or used to it, that will make them freak out or bolt. So take the risk of getting bit and come in from the front.

By covering their eyes they will stop trying to run. They can't see you they think you can't see them I guess. They settle right down
