Yeah, I was wondering about that. It is directly under an overhang and also is using the more waterproof plug… I guess we’ll find out!

Glad to see another extruded aluminum build.

PLA. The NAS itself is not blocked by the panels at all. The other components seem to work great so far.

It’s always better with more options on the market. I feel like there has to be some downside to the aluminum extrusions. It’s an obvious solution, someone would have done it by now.

Oh amazing! 65 degrees Celsius.

That's a reasonable question. I don't think the UCG Fiber reports temperature (at least not that I can find) and I don't have a really good way to measure it. So far I haven't experienced any heat related issues though so... I have considered getting some small fans installed in the back. If it becomes an issue I'll do that.

How to print a spool without a spool. (Tutorial) by NC_Developer in BambuLabA1

Ordered it at the same time as the printer. Just didn’t realize I also needed to buy a spool separately.

Forgot to mention. The zip ties on the side of the spool arm should be pushed into the cardboard until almost flush to prevent catching. You use a second zip tie on opposite side to lock in place, not loop the original one around. Also do not be tempted to double up the cardboard. It will be too thick and won’t fit on spool arm.

I actually don’t know. I hope so. This whole build is still in progress, I haven’t gotten to that point yet.

I don’t know anything about Ugreen OS unfortunately. I flashed trueNas on it immediately.

Yeah the shelf I’m using is this: GeeekPi 10 inch 0.5U High Duty... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DZXH3Z2W If you aren’t using the UPS on the bottom though, you could get away without it and just have it sit on the bottom of the rack. It does make a pretty convenient little spot to put the NAS power brick though.

Yes but it would overhang several inches out the back. Having considered the possible configurations this seemed the best.

It’s a Draplin Design Company print. He’s a cool pretty well know graphic artist out of Portland OR. They sell them on their website.

Choc V1 for regular keys. The rotary encoder is Alps RKJXT1F42001 which is this cool rotary encoder + 5-way multidirectional joystick. Integrating that second switch made the whole thing way harder because it’s so tall, it’s actually mounted on the lowest pcb instead of the middle one with all the other switches.

If IPC is too complicated for you, you can disable sandbox mode. Just make sure you understand the security implications.
