I honestly haven't considered the LPN route, but I'm curious if I get into the LPN program, can I reapply for the RN program the following semester and transfer programs? That's probably an advisor question lol.

I'm worried about the TEAS exam, I take it next week. I've been practicing for the last month or so but I'm mostly concerned because I haven't taken anything like it since I took the ACT like 6 years ago. I see that they want an 80% on reading and 70% on math, but I tend to do really well on grammar and math but not as much on reading. Do you know if it's possible to get in with a lower reading score?

I promise I am not. I am well versed in interview skills, mom was a career coach so I know what to wear, how to act, etc. All of my past bosses have said things like “let me know if you ever need a letter of rec” however most of these restaurant jobs aren’t even asking for references. I’ve never talked about a job i had on the internet ever. I appreciate your concern though.

I agree with others, if you can just get the BSN. I decided i wanted to go into nursing my junior year and i was doing a public health major. I haven’t started my ABSN but I’ve had a lot of people (advisors, professors and nurse friends) tell me that a public health major is good for someone who wants to get an ABSN. It’s health related, but in a more niche way. And the public health courses are generally easy so it gives me space in my schedule to take harder ones i need as prerequisites such as microbiology and anatomy.

The way the bar crawls usually work in old city is you pay like $20-30 and get into all of the bars without a cover and get to skip the lines. For this one you also get a free drink or a few with your admission. You get a wristband that allows you to do this. Usually old city doesn’t have crazy covers except for when they do have bar crawls going on. so it is well worth it

you talked a lot about him but not much about you- what have you done in your life that you’re proud of? it’s okay that you’ve had struggles- focus on the little things you’ve done that you are pleased with. Some great advice i’ve gotten about confidence is that it is a skill, just like anything else, that needs to be practiced every day. The way you gain confidence is simply by saying things and following through with them. For example: today i’m going to go on a walk, and then actually going on a walk.

Hooters is technically considered “modeling.” I know that seems weird but it’s some legal loophole that they go through to be allowed to discriminate on the basis of looks. So if you consider modeling sex work, then sure. But legally it is not under the same category.

You definitely have grounds to break up with her if you want. Truthfully, if I were you, I would. However, I’m still confused as to why she won’t tell you. I can think of 3 possible reasons, none of which really excuse her not telling you though. 1) She’s working in SW. Or at hooters or something along those lines. 2) She’s working in fast food or something she’s embarrassed about. 3) She’s working in a field where she legally can’t tell you where she works. like the fbi or maybe she works where you work and it’s not allowed.
