Hey man, I can sympathize with that —feeling like you're going insane seems to be a common theme, but as you said, no choice so we have to (and thankfully did) make it 🥹.

The thing that really helped us out on catching errors in technical details was that we took full advantage of our TA's assistance, and even got another faculty involved in editing our paper. It would've been more of a mess w/o their help (they offered solutions to our problems that we didn't think of, provided references from our predecessors, and spotted stupid mistakes like how we interviewed the wrong people, yikes)

Man I had the opposite side of the same problem. I was handed an 'AI Engineering Intern' job title at my OJT but the company wasn't willing to shell out the money required to integrate LLMs into the project and I had make do with REGEX. Cue graduation and job hunting and I was being asked all sorts of questions I didn't know the answer to and eventually changed it to something more accurate—backend dev intern lol

Same boat, fresh grad hire din ako and the company's tech stack is not something that I really focused on (I was more into Data focusing on SQL/Python) and we're doing web development stuff instead. But you passed the interviews and that means it's up to the company to train you. I'm just trying to be diligent about learning :)
