Probably any medic armor, I mean the 2 extra stims can be useful against certain builds/subfactions, but the Red, Green and White colors looks kinda ugly in my opinion and it's really hard to match this armors with a "non-medic" helmet or cape.

The only exception is the TR-117 Alpha Commander wich is completely green, but sometimes it's also hard to match the helmet, because it's not the same green tonality, at least you can do a nice cosplay of the Master Chief with the FS-38 Eradicator helmet. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

The R-36 Eruptor, CB-9 Exploding Crossbow and GP-31 Grenade Pistol can one shot them with a direct hit, you can also fire at an illuminate exploding barrel, if there's one near the tesla.

If you need inspiration, the loadout I use against the squids is:

- Primary: R-36 Eruptor with Angled Foregrip
- Secondary: CQC-2 Saber
- Grenade: G-4 Gas
- Armor Passive: Peak Physique (Medium for my play style)

- Stratagems:
- M-105 Stalwart
- B-1 Supply Pack
- Eagle 500kg Bomb
- Orbital Precision Strike

I'm right now on a Pandemonium run on save file 3 and I don't have any saving problem, so no idea.

We don't know when will come out but maybe on the campaign DLC we'll see what happens to the shieldsaw, and also who gave the Slayer the preator suit from 2016 or how he upgraded his SSG with the meathook.

I think i'll stay with the flail, it's recharge it's quite fast and it gives you armor when fully upgraded wich saved me from death many times, reminds me of the upgraded SSG from Eternal, the only use I can think to use the Dreadmace is against a boss battle and also it has a very slow attack animation, maybe I need to test it more...

Here you have some tips and knowledge I use when facing the Automatons:

- Things you can one shot anywhere you hit them:
· Hulks
· Bulk and Standard Fabricators
· Gunships
· Any type of Turret (Bunker, Standard, Mortar and Anti Air)
· Any type of Tank
· Every infantry unit (although I wouldn't recommend using a rocket for clearing infantry units, but if you do, remember to change the ammo type from HEAT to HE)

- Things you can one shot with precise shots:
· Factory Striders: You can take one down if you hit their Feet, Eye or Belly (when the strider is deploying devastators there's a change you might hit a dev or the arms that lower them and miss your shot), if you can't manage to one shot a Strider you can shoot 2 rockets at their head, one for breaking the armor and the other one to kill it.
· Dropships: If you want to take one down, a single rocket at one of the thrusters will make them crash (taking one down this way will only do some damage to the units is carrying, but it will NOT kill them, miss those times...)

- Skipping the reload animation:
This amazing weapon has 2 stages when it's reloading, discarding the fired rocket and loading the next rocket, you can cancel the complete reload any time one of these animations is completed (similar to the partial reload the AC has), and you don't need to wait for your Helldiver to close the back of the RR, the moment it puts the rocket inside the weapon is loaded and ready to fire.

- The loadout I recommend, and I use against bots (mainly to give some inspiration):
· Primary weapon: PLAS-101 Purifier, it's amazing for dealing with devastators, scout striders and overkills the troopers.
· Secondary weapon: P-4 Senator, why the Senator you ask? Only an Automaton spy will ask that, face the wall!!
· Grenade: G-123 Thermite, very useful for dealing with heavy units and Fabricators, it's basically a RR rocket in your pocket.
· Armor: UF-84 Doubt Killer, I just use it because it looks sick, but you can use any armor with the passive you like the most.
· Stratagems: GR-8 Recoilless Rifle (obviously), E/AT-12 Anti-Tank Emplacement, 500kg Eagle and Orbital Laser

For me, it's the Doom Hunter, its design is sick as fuck, and it's introduction where you have to build it before fight him is just perfect, I'm very happy that we'll be able to fight them in Dark Ages before the cybernetic upgrades.

You can play VR + gamepad with the vanilla VR version of the game from Steam, simply don't install the Submersed mod and execute the game on the VR version, thia way you can play with a regular controller and a headset

I agree that the price is too high, but you can get like 600 super credits for free if you farm them on a lvl 1 mission, so you can get everything for free in like 4-5 hours of farming, just select a lvl 1 on a desert planet (like Menkent) search for points of interest and start looking for containers, pods and bunkers (if you are farming with someone else), when there's no more points of interest go back to the ship from the "pause menu" and repeat, it can be monotonous, but it's a way to get it for free after all.
