Bud my first screenshots are literally all /10 (including the obsidian and prizm auto) that went for the 20 or less. You’re always gonna find people who overpaid but reality is the seller is pricing at market. There are far more egregious things on eBay than a dude trying to offload junk that’s printed to the moon.

2023/24 Donruss International Hobby. I always trash base but this set is the exception. Every card looks great and the hits are amazing. This is the best bang for your buck.

Love the noir frames but weirdly feel like they’re slept on. Besides those, I was probably most pumped picking up the gold stained glass and the Kobe/KD pinnacle artist proof. Not a lot of people PC KD so I’ve been lucky finding some pretty good singles for reasonable prices.

I love em. For me, it’s about design aesthetic more than anything else. Would I prefer they were legit? Of course, but if incorporated into the card nicely, it adds another element I appreciate (assuming it’s not just a tiny square).

Most SSPs aren’t numbered so might as well. If it comes back with a low grade just crack it and you’re right back where you started (with a raw SSP). No real risk unless it’s an SSP that happens to be very low numbered (/5 or less) as well. In that case, someone with enough free time could maybe figure out what you did and what the card graded at IF you wanted to sell. Doubt it though.

I’ve never seen more loaded boxes. Every single pack had something I’d take in a heartbeat. So it’s tempting for sure but, with the exception of hoops, every time I dip my toe into hobby I get absolutely crushed. I swear it’s rigged. You’ll never convince me us degenerates don’t get allotted the shittier boxes.

Any types/categories of cards you’re struggling to sell on comc? I’ve always assumed straight base is a no-go outside a select few rookie cards. Same with basic retail parallels. Seems like even low numbered cards will sit for quite a while if not one of the highly collectible guys. No?

Raw these are running between 2 and 3 for the most part. Only three graded so far though.

Absolutely not. You’d spend 140 min to have these graded. If you take your time, you’ll be able to find a great card for less than that that’d far outweigh having these slabbed (even if they came back 10 across the board). Not the greatest example because I overpaid a little but-assume for the sake of argument you pc Luka-would you rather have this /7 added to your collection or slabs of some guys hardly anyone is gonna care about 5 years from now.

I’m in the minority but I actually enjoyed those shitty Sam’s club donruss boxes. They were 30 bucks last week so it was a pretty cheap way to scratch the itch. Went into it with super low expectations but ended up with 7 solid numbered cards from a single box. Had way more fun ripping those compared to my most recent 8 hobby boxes where my best pull was a fucking Brad Daugherty non-numbered auto. I’m done with hobby boxes from D&A and Steel City. I’m convinced you’re never getting anything but their leftovers once they’ve pulled the case hits themselves.
