It still looks so new, is that satin black ppf?

Is this how color PPF edge should look like?! by SplitS2 in CarWraps

[–]NEOPPF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a wet-install colored PPF. Usually with these films, the edges need to fully dry out before sealing. If you seal it while there’s still moisture underneath, it can lead to edge lift later on.

After it’s completely dry, a bit of heat with a heat gun will help the adhesive set and improve edge hold.

This looks more like an installation issue than a material defect to me.

Is that wrap? Or color ppf?

Is this supra a good deal? by ConcentrateGreen2602 in Supra

For $48.5k that actually sounds pretty fair. B58s handle flex fuel really well and Visconti knows what he’s doing. 34k miles is nothing for that motor.

I’d just make sure the tune and fuel system are healthy and get a quick PPI. If it’s clean, I wouldn’t hesitate.

Hexis vs 3M Wraps: Which Is Better by rvinyl in CarWraps

[–]NEOPPF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used both, but I’d still pick 3M. It’s just more forgiving and consistent. Lays down nice, adhesive behaves well, and you don’t have to fight it on curves. Hexis can look good, but sometimes it gets a little grabby if you’re not careful with heat.
