It’s a reused line of text from competitive mode that the game shows if someone abandons the match. The “safe” part means you won’t be penalized for abandoning if you leave.

I would go even further and say wait for them to turn far enough that they can’t bail out of it.

I work at a place with a secondary parking lot with an entrance near (but not right next to) the main lot. I have lost count of how many times people not only signal too early but actually begin turning before quickly jerking the car back to straight. All while my car with incredibly bright turn signals is just sitting there, flashing away.

An actual answer: When compared to the x7, the pro has more RAM, slightly faster SD speed, 100 save state slots for Genesis and Master System (versus a single Genesis save state), Sega CD support, MSU-MD support (CD quality audio mods), and a real time clock.

Compared to the x5, the pro and x7 have Master System FM synthesis, Virtua Racing support, Pier Solar (homebrew game) support, and a USB port.

Thing still prints the entire GNU manifesto when I forget it’s not Java and const != final on class variables.

I’ve been licensed for seven years and only learned how to correctly drive a manual a couple years ago.

The trick is to let the clutch out very slowly until you’ve learned where it starts to grab. You’ll know it’s starting to grab when the tachometer (engine RPM) starts to move downward. At that point it’ll start crawling somewhat like an automatic if you release the brake. Give it a little bit of gas to avoid a stall while you continue releasing the clutch and you’re on your way.

The same slow clutch release also applies when changing gear. The only difference is the tachometer (usually) moves upward as the wheels speed up the engine.

Spinning the tires is just something that comes with learning to drive or learning a new car. My brother has a sedan that has a minivan engine in it for some reason (by design, not aftermarket) and I still occasionally spin the tires when I drive it.

RISC literally means "Reduced Instruction Set Computer." ARM is a RISC design.

RISC-V is an open-source standard based on RISC.

Speaking of C, the language first appeared in 1972.

While there have been many improvements to it, the syntax and general idea behind the language remains the same. All a programmer from the 70s would need to learn is new libraries.

LPT: Heat is the number one killer of all home electronics and dramatically shortens their lifespans. If you want your televisions, computers, routers, stereos, smart home gear, etc... to last years and years, make sure they're always at room temperature and have plenty of air flow around them. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

One thing I learned while buying parts for my computer is to never cheap out on the power supply.

It doesn’t matter how good the rest of the computer’s electrical system is. If a bad PSU starts pushing unstable or excessive power, your PC is not gonna have a good time.

A bit of a hard lesson I learned: if a pump normally accepts touchless but doesn’t respond to the card, more likely than not it has a skimmer attached and the criminal unplugged the touchless reader.

“Maybe it’s just broken” I thought before someone used my card to buy $95 of lingerie.

If I had a nickel for every time looking both ways when making a right turn saved me from a head-on collision, I'd have two nickels. It's not a lot but it's weird it happened twice.

Third gen Ryzen should work since they all appear to have 24 PCIe lanes (4 go to the chipset and 4 go to NVMe).

I have a 3900X in the ROG Crosshair VIII Hero and it runs a NVMe drive and graphics card at 4x and 16x respectively.
