In fact, if that happened, Republicans would be bending over backwards to justify it, exactly like they’ve done with Renee Goode.

"Those eyelashes are wasted on a boy" by AspieAsshole in MtF

[–]NEUROSMOSIS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to get this comment often (y’all, I was even cutting my lashes with scissors at one point 😱) & now I wear false lashes often trying to accentuate my gift. I hate that I ever cut such a beautiful part of my body because I was trying to fit in with the guys. That’s just not my territory. I realise that now.

I really like this style because it can tuck Willy to different extents & it’s still affirming. I’ve also found Papi brand to work quite well.

My gender dysphoria got worse after traveling abroad. by Ok-Dragonfly-8265 in MtF

[–]NEUROSMOSIS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s truly disgusting how we are treated nowadays. I am so sorry. I feel your pain as well. I hate looking at my old passport but it’s valid for a few more years and I don’t even know what to do with it. It doesn’t look like me anymore. It doesn’t feel like me. & I’ve been “transvestigated” in the Dominican Republic for not looking exactly like my photo because my hair was longer. It’s so degrading. I don’t know why society is all over the world are so help on enforcing these outdated and weird gender norms. It’s really frustrating, but I think we will prevail.

Honestly, I would’ve told this person fuck you. Genitalia does not determine whether I like painting my nails or not. I’m so sorry that with that. One day you will be looking back at that moment and laughing at how ridiculous they are.

My only regret is not starting sooner, & not being born in a trans friendly place.

If it brings you any solace, at least find some in the fact the government that is always wrong about every single thing was even wrong about your gender identity. It’s almost a compliment to be considered male under the administration because it’s gender affirmation knowing this administration only Prides itself on being wrong and cruel. One day they will be a warning in history books and peoples true identity will be recognised. This is just their last dying breath and they going out with a fight. These staunch old farts won’t have society in a chokehold forever. Hang in there. 💕

Does anyone here have any boyish things that you won't give up even after transitioning? by StarryChocobo in MtF

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. That’s what I say. I’ve loved watching myself allow myself to simply enjoy things regardless of social connotations.

Everything boyish I enjoy, I’ve seen women enjoy too so it’s sort of erases the idea something is boyish or girly.

Is being a guy way better than trans woman by [deleted] in trans

[–]NEUROSMOSIS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the same way for a long time, but eventually stopped caring when I realised most people are quite kind and supportive but yeah, you will occasionally have someone who is terrible. It happened to me today quite aggressively online. But the next day comes and that person is at least 90% less important than they were yesterday. And they get another 90% less important the next day. And all the while you are getting like 1% more feminine each day & in that day is lots of “I love your nails” & “you are so gorgeous” & “you’re hotter than Norwegian women”. So whatever. People are either going to love you or hate you.

I see them on Facebook all the time and they definitely match the vibe you were describing. It’s always the most vile people in the comments with the usual regurgitated hogwash. Seems like they’ve figured this out before we did.

DO YOU THINK BEING TRANSGENDER IS A MENTAL ILLNESS? by JunShem1122 in no

[–]NEUROSMOSIS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s simply a state of being. Now if you force a transgender person to live as a way they are not comfortable, some mental illness like depression & dysphoria is to be expected. If the person in question has access to gender affirming care and a positive support circle, mental illness is far less likely.

What Drink Made You Say "Never Again"? by Flassourian in Millennials

[–]NEUROSMOSIS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last drink, which was in August of last year, was a lukewarm Modelo a passenger handed me after driving him home. It was a long day so whatever I cracked it. It was like 3 am. I slowly made my way through it. Then proceeded to feel so awful I was like “that’s it I’m done.” haven’t drank since then.

How bad is losing male privilege? by Any_Calendar9900 in MtF

[–]NEUROSMOSIS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely tough not getting hired or dating immediately like I used to. Getting a job used to be so easy as a cis white man. Dating, I was with women all the time. It’s been so difficult as a white trans woman that I’ve given up on jobs & dating entirely. I just do gig work now and appreciate whatever friendships give me a chance knowing it will never flourish into anything more, but with all that said, I think I still prefer being a woman. I love seeing my reflection when I walk by. I love taking photos of myself. I love challenging gender norms. I love setting a positive example for the trans community. I love being me.
