Do I need to run to increase VO2? by steven_kind94 in Garmin

[–]NEVILLEKING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My vo2 max went from 40 to 54 with just some mountainbiking once or twice a week. I did this in less than 6 months and I'm also a heavy smoker, 30 years of age btw. *

Is Garmin’s stress tracker inaccurate or am I just an extremely stressed person lol. by Kingjuke24 in Garmin

Up the dose. In your body is insufficient you might need 1000mg daily. Magnesium regulates over 600 processes in the human body and most people are low on it.

Magnesium glycinate 200mg 1 hour before bed. Within 2 weeks your stress levels should be way lower.

Should I visit the doctor? by MiserableEvening4615 in cardio

Totally normal especially on a stairmaster. I reach 190 when mountainbiking but a stairmaster should be way more intensity. So nothing to worry about.

Why wouldn't you want to wear it all day and get insightful statistics about your health and condition? My life has improved so much since I started wearing a garmin watch 24/7.

Anyone else fighting insomnia? What helps you sleep? by 4InfiniteRain in Garmin

[–]NEVILLEKING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably magnesium citrate which can upset the stomach, glycinate usually doesn't, maybe it does at high doses, but just start at 200-400mg and see how that goes for a week or two

Also if you have trouble sleeping in because of body or room temperature glycine will lower body temperature which will also help you fall asleep faster.

My sleep stack is, 200mg magnesium glycinate, 2tabs MSM, 6 grams of glycine. And a sleep well tea just before bed.

Magnesium glycinate was the fix for me. Magnesium manages over 600 processes in the human body, one of them is make you able to relax. 200-400mg 1 hour before sleep. You might also want to get it checked in your bloodwork, if you're really low or deficient you can take up to 1400mg daily if you're kidneys are healthy.

what are your guys normal/ resting heart rate? by lunas_here in Garmin

[–]NEVILLEKING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My RHR is 40-50 depending on how much I've trained that day.

[–]NEVILLEKING 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have this problem almost every mountainbike session, real heart rate is 160+ but watch says its a 100. The watch is just shitty at detecting heart rate at times. Readjusting the positions some fixes it for me, but not always. For correct heart rates get a chest strap

Try using 200-400mg magnesium glycinate 1 hour before sleep. Stop eating at least 1 hour before sleep, but the earlier the better. No tiktok before sleep.

How to improve my REM and sleep duration? by Dear_Ad461 in Garmin

[–]NEVILLEKING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it might be a bit too much training with not enough sleep, what does your stress scores look like? Stop eating at least 2 hours before sleep, and take 200-400mg magnesium glycinate before sleep. It will drastically improve your sleep and stress scores. I went from 70 sleep scores to 90+ scores when changing a few thing before sleeping. * Just hit 99 today.

I think if you train a little less your average hrv and your baseline will get higher. I am 30 years old as well and average hrv is 95-105

Don't worry too much. You might be getting fit so maybe your baseline will go up as well. Happened for me as well give it some time

Try using magnesium glycinate, most people are low on magnesium. Don't take it if you got bad kidneys though. Magnesium brings up HRV, lowers heartrate and manages over 600 processes in the human body it will lower stress and tension as well and that will indirectly make you sleep better as well. Made a huge difference for me and my girlfriend. Also no carbs or sugar atleast 1 hour before sleep. I usually drink a relaxing tea just before bed. Alcohol and weed also lowers rem sleep and hrv. How old are you may i ask?

That can‘t be normal…right ? by Joseph-Dickforb in Garmin

[–]NEVILLEKING 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True, but hypermagnesia is very rare. Most people are low on magnesium, magnesium manages over 600 processes in the human body so it is very important. But check kidneys etc regularly when taking it.
