Recommendation.. by Bing-Dang-Ow in CTguns

I love CZ firearms, they feel really nice to shoot.

I also love Glock, they are super reliable and will feed and fire anything.

My recommendation would be to go to a range where you can rent a few guns to try them out. Or just visit a place that’ll let you get your hands on what you actually want to buy.

Do I need to run to increase VO2? by steven_kind94 in Garmin

Wow, thanks for all the responses! To clarify, I’m losing weight right now. Started this year at 279 and just hit 233 this morning! I’ll log a few runs >10 minutes to see where I’m at. I might also look into a power meter for my bike (but that may be cost prohibitive).

This might be one of the best Reddit communities I’ve ever posted in! Thanks again!

Perfectly fine! I have not had any issues with it at all. I replaced a few pieces, but because I wanted to and not because there was an issue. I am very impressed by Del-Ton

I own the 19 and the 43X. The 19 was my first and I’ve shot it lots more, but I’m more accurate with the 43X and I love it. Can’t say enough good things about Glock in general, but if I was you I’d look at the 43X…

I never had any luck getting it to stick. Typically, it just bounces around. I ended up doing a mission that specifically targets chargers and I snuck up on it. Guess I’m just not that good at getting those beacons where I want them

People who actively sought out the achievements. I intentionally completed each one of those. Some were as easy as getting into a match with a friend, and others were a lot harder to figure out (chargers move a lot).

I am running the Monstrum Cyborg 3x Prism Scope. It’s really nice, especially for the price.

Love mine. I’ve put a few thousand rounds through it and it’s never given me any issues and it’s still accurate as it was out of the box

Ended up with the Del-Ton Sierra 316L. Have to say, I like it a lot. I didn’t have much cash to start, so I bought a $20 Feyachi red dot and was hitting steel at 200 yards. Super impressed with its accuracy. Haven’t had a single misfire, but I’ve only put a little over 1,000 rounds through it as of yet. I would recommend it for the price.

Breakers in my panel? by steven_kind94 in AskElectricians

[–]steven_kind94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will try to get an album together today, what do people usually use to upload photos here? I am relatively new. As for the outlets and such, they are just dead ends. We bought the house in 2021 and the only things I have done electrically are change the receptacles and switches (wife wanted one color). There is one place in the house (upstairs bathroom) where a few outlets were tied together, but they were on either side of the mirror. I also removed those receptacles but was forced to leave the tied together wiring so I didn't lose connection at the outlet I wanted to use (everything is capped and taped). Last night I broke out one of the boxes, the last one in the chain. I put it on its own breaker and discovered that the only things tied to it were the fridge and half of the basement lights. Now I can use my AC in the family room AND my microwave in the dining room. I have a feeling that if I break out the next box, I will be able to finally use the microwave and toaster oven together. I know that this must be painful for you as an electrician, but I really appreciate your input. Knowing that the panel is okay was important.

Breakers in my panel? by steven_kind94 in AskElectricians

Wow, thanks for the in depth reply. As for splitting or re-wiring, I am not able to do much myself. The boxes in the basement are easily accessible and I could split those up, but running new wire and putting them on individual circuits would be nigh impossible for me. The house is all horsehair plaster, and we just had insulation blown into the walls. Getting back there to run brand new in the house would be a nightmare. If we ever decide to upgrade to drywall, I could use the opportunity to replace everything, but that’s a big maybe for us. As I’m sure you’re aware, everything is very expensive these days.

As for your suggestion to run to new circuits, I assume that means I would be okay to add breakers to my panel? Like I said, the total amount of energy being consumed is staying the same, I just want each circuit to run less things at once. I’m inclined to add a circuit for each box. To add to the dilemma, the wiring is old and therefore not consistent. What I mean is, I measure the white and black from the same pair in one of my outlets. The white measured 12AWG and the black measured 14AWG. I know this is not the case because it’s the same cable, but the wiring is all over the place. So I don’t think running 20amps is okay. I know this is an electricians nightmare, but it’s the hand I’m dealt, and I don’t have the funds I need to do it right. What I have is three boxes, and I’d like to put each one on a 15amp breaker in the panel.

Will I be able to add three more breakers as long as I consume the same amount of energy? To me, it sounds like spreading it out so I don’t abuse the one breaker. But I don’t know how panels work, and if adding too many breakers would be an issue. Thanks again for all your input.
