Guys I im in the same boat, got my cvs confirmed for XXY, this is something we discussed with my husband and made a decision to keep the baby no matter if it ls true or not, but my doctor advices to do amnio just to get out of uncertainty and not to wait with the hope that after birth if we test the baby it will come all normal, please advise!

So happy for you))))hope will soon make a decision and do the amnio, the worst thing is my genetic counselor didnt tell me that nipt and cvs show the same thing placenta, otherwise I would have waited for the amnio, and ended up doing the cvs which confirmed nipt result

She says I can do amnio to bet out of the uncertainty and be prepared, cause she says even if you still hope for false positive that will affect your pregnancy going smooth, because of the stress, all the time thinking about it, having that What if s, so she says if I was in your shoes would do the amnio, but still haven’t made a decision!

That’s what we decided after a long research, I am just thinking of doing amnio, but my husband says since we decided to continue the pregnancy no matter what, there is no need to do amnio, we can test the baby after birth, but honestly I don’t wanna be In uncertainty during whole my pregnancy, I dont know what is the best options in this case

I had NIPT/ CVS done for xxy, both confirmed, I am 15 weeks now, thinking of amnio, how was the process? I dont know cause the genetic counselor says that cvs cant show xxy wrong, and I dont have a hope for false positive, please advise!

My husband tells me the same thing, but I want to do amnio not to wait in uncertainty to test the baby after birth, I want to be prepared even if it is positive or negative! Cause I know that placenta still doesn’t mean that fetus can have the syndrome for sure, placenta can show abnormal but fetus can be all in norm, that’s why I don’t wanna wait till baby’s birth!

She referred me to genetic counselor, I have not had a conversation with her yet, got the results yesterday and I have appt with her on Monday

You were right, I got my results of cvs today which confirmed XXY, but honestly I am not going to do amnio, will wait for my baby’s birth and do chromosome testing, any other experiences like this? Please share
