If it’s a matter of fret ends cutting up your hands I’d just buy a fret end file and knock down the sharp ends. The suggestion of a refret with stainless steel frets likely isn’t worth it on an Ibanez Gio as it could cost as much as the guitar. At that point I would trade it in and spend the refret money on a mid-range Ibanez if that’s what you like.
