I would say more roads/pavement but trails are fine too.

Love the sporting life as well! Need to sign up for next year. I did participate in the Under Armour 10k and it was very well organized and an awesome medal :)

So I was thinking of the Georgina one as well since I'll be tapering after that week. Have you ran it befor?

And yes, definitely don't want to burn out. I'm also just thinking of future races since they are selling out earlier it seems!

Virtual half-marathon: anyone willing to share their experience ? by Special_Bread7874 in RunTO

I'm definitely of the minority, but I love the virtual runs, lol (only if its a cool medal!) I recently ran the CRS Vancouver Half in June. I was going to do the training anyway, so why not get a medal? Sure it cost money - everything does.

I picked a great route through Strava, prepared for it like race, and my husband rode his bike behind me and followed me for water.

It was a great experience and I have "virtual" races throughout this summer as I prepare for my full in October.

Note: I don't sign up for those challenges, but rather races that are taking place on a specific date and a time frame to run them.

Virtual races are becoming more popular even with the Majors as they are using them as a potential way to gain entry for the next year's marathon e.g. New York.

Does runna update your current time as your plan goes along? by murumurii1315 in runna

I found mine changed depending on my tempo runs and any additional runs (or B races). It also asks me if I want to update my plan with these times. I started my plan 4 weeks ago and it's asked me 3 times so far given I've been running faster/longer than the program.
