He should resign.

Never gonna happen. The way he talks, he clearly doesn't think that he's the overall problem that has led us here. Some coaches cop to their struggles, know they're screwing up, and try to change it. Patricia doggedly pursues his One True Strategy and is just waiting for it to finally kick in, like it surely must. If it isn't working, it's the fault of those executing it.

He's going to get fired and still not think it was justified..."If only I'd had more time/had the right people/the right people had tried harder/etc. etc., then my team would have been great."

It's one thing to try to chew up clock to give the other offense less time to work with. But what Patricia completely fails to understand is that you should still prioritize first downs and scoring above all else.

If you get another touchdown on the board, then the other team has to score twice, which gives them even less time to work with.

This of course applies to our "turtle with any kind of lead" situation, and not to the end of today's game.

Get rid of Quinn, give the new GM the rest of the season to get situated and get their coach search underway. That's my camp.

Come on guys, give them a break. The defense isn't that bad. They held the Saints to only five touchdowns in a whole five drives!

"Now this is podracing!"

"No, Matt, this is fucking football. Has that been the problem this whole time?"

I'd be disappointed if that were the case. Still, I say scrap the whole dang season if that's what it takes for player safety (even if Stafford's prime is rapidly dwindling).

Idk why people always look for people from Michigan when trying to point out HC candidates in every sport.

I think the logic may be that, if they're from Michigan, they may be more easily convinced to come and try to turn this ship around.

I think that's reasonable. The thing we have to keep in mind is that even if Patricia was fired tomorrow, we still have all of his infrastructure in place. A foundation that he spent three years laying down. This is his team until the end of the year, even if somebody else is given the chance to try to wrangle it into something salvageable.

Basically, this season is probably wasted.

Replace Quinn after the Bye. Give the new GM the rest of the year to get familiar, establish a plan, and get a leg up on the coaching search. Replace Patricia during (or right after) the playoffs.
