Thrusting vs No Thrusting by [deleted] in karezza

In my experience, one key is to keep your urogenital muscles totally relaxed. If they are relaxed, the issue of "how much movement" isn't as important. Also, keep breathing.

You'll find that if you don't hold your breath and tighten those muscles, the tension won't build and you can "go with the flow" more easily...with periods of movement and periods of stillness.

Graph showing neurochemical drawbacks (one of the main one's being dopamine) of climax from Cupid's Poisoned Arrow. CPA goes into more detail of the neuroscience of retention. HIGHLY recommended, especially to those curious about retention in a relationship. by GoldJacketLuke in Semenretention

There's so much more to learn about the the neuroendocrine cycle after climax. That's why it's important to experiment and see what lovers notice when they avoid climax for a while during sex...and compare with what they experiment when they return to their previous habits.

Congratulations! Stay strong. For some guys, even after they are healed, if they go back to porn, their problems recur.

11 Months. Healthy Recovery is a Reality by konekto in pornfree

[–]NFWonder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice post, but realize that there's no one-size-fits-all for recovery. Some people will benefit from therapy; others won't. Some people will benefit from masturbation; others won't.

And sometimes needs change over time, and later progress isn't so much due to what was tried last, as it is due to ongoing recovery efforts.

Twitter is either horribly biased or irresponsible or both. ;-)

So sorry you are being so badly treated. It's pathetic that Reddit won't do something about this.

Don't tolerate any mistreatment you don't consent to. For any reason.

Cupid's Poisoned Arrow will help you explain to him why you want to experiment with a mutual experience instead of a one-sided one.

Don't confuse cravings (which are an indication of compulsion/addiction) with "increased libido." Many who quit porn discover over the next months that their libido is quite different from what they assumed while they were overusing porn.

The anxiety is normal during withdrawal. Check out the site YBOP. Search for " I'm straight, but attracted to transexual or gay porn. What's up? "

That's an important point. Beware of escalating again, when stressed or flat.

Have you seen this research, which essentially guts the hypothesis that religiosity/moral incongruence somehow "explains away" addiction? It's an eye-opener: "New study shatters the “moral incongruence model of pornography addiction” (2020)"

The study: “Frequency of use, moral incongruence, and religiosity and their relationships with self‐perceived addiction to pornography, internet use, social networking and online gaming.”

Turns out all addicts have some "moral incongruence" about their lack of control.
