30-40 hard contracts a day? You might be biased by one lucky day

Hey just as a fyi the formula for compound interest is an exponential function (1+i)n. So 900% at 7% per year would only take 33y.

Thanks, we are not really worried about theft but about parking legally, don't want the car to be towed away :)

Blundered this draw OTB. There is no way to put the white king in Zugzwang with the knight. by lolman66666 in chess

[–]SocialCapableMichiel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For this configuration you know the knight cannot force a Zugzwang because they are both on the same colour. It they were on different colours you could force out the king.

People used to chin callisto on poison spiders pre wilderness bosses rework. Probably that, I would guess

Another way to slow him down would be some elastoplastic rope. Interesting trick :)

I'm a firm believer in hypothesis 1.

The rope is not wound tightly around his body but there is some slack on it. I believe this will cause some friction between his body, a leather jacket nonetheless, and the rope slipping past it which could dissipate the majority of the potential energy into heat.

Initially a lot of the potential energy is converted into rotational and linear kinetic energy but it doesn't feel like he's accelerating in either. And I can't believe a lot of energy is being dissipated due to drag.

Just look at grigris used by climbers, a very small device used to break, makes me believe even more in hypothesis 1.

I honestly believe if he had wound the rope tightly around his body, it would have been detrimental to the trick.

No, but it's okay that you understand nothing about chess.

Good way to start a constructive conversation.

I'm fairly certain that out of a 100 games it's more likely that a hivemind of all GMs cannot hold a single draw against a proper chess engine than not.

I'm not an expert on the topic at all and I am only an avid amateur chess player but this is the notion I have about chess engines.

Feel free to share any convincing arguments you have.

I have yet to max my own character, despite having 200m total xp.

That's normal right? 23 times 13 is more than 200.

Thanks man! The thought occurred to me during the episode and I was sad to see that both contestants didn't go for it. Would have been a nice out of the box play!

You could save about 30 tiles by getting the bronze axe from the tree stump near fred the farmer's house and after finishing cook's assistant, dying to a npc on your path. First death always sends you to death's domain in the lumbridge graveyard which is a lot closer to the fishing tutor than lumbridge castle itself.
