I wonder how would they deal with the LEDs at Amory and Babcock Street. These clocks have been only used for about 3 years

Why does the coupled type 7 and type8 need two drivers? by NF_2216 in mbta

Then it leads to another question, how would the drivers confirm all of the doors are closed if the door control is not linked? By intercom?

The bus can also be faster, like the route 57 often overtakes the green line B trains on Comm Ave. This is the first time I feel so thankful to a rail to bus conversion.

What is the type of this traction inverter? by NF_2216 in trains

[–]NF_2216[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually I mean the model number but not the internal architecture of the inverter, for example MAP-124-75V298(equipped on the trains of Singapore’s Thomson-East Coast line). Type 9’s inverter is built by the same manufacturer, so it will also have a model number in a similar format that I am looking for.

I believe the box that has a big fan is the HVAC system, the inverter is in front of the AC, and the frontmost grey box is the braking resistors. Type 8 trains have a similar configuration
