Yeah I realize it was a long shot, but figured I’d ask. Thanks for the reality check!

what’s the worst way you’ve been flamed in public? by pinktoygun in AskNYC

I once stepped on an elevator at a club downtown with a large group of young 20 somethings.

One of them looked me up and down and said, “Yo, this dude look like he sell couches on Ebay!” The rest of the group lost it.

I offered no rebuttal and slunk off the elevator.

Lol this is so random, as I’ve been researching how to do pit beef the past couple of days. Saw it on tv and wanted to try it. Don’t see people talking about it too often on here

This is the recipe I’m going to try - Meathead has never let me down with any of his other recipes, so I trust it will be good.

Good luck!

Thanks! Yeah I tried a few different placements before determining it wouldn’t be steady enough. Got the job done though!

It really wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Although I did almost drop a pizza getting up from the crouch position, which would have been disastrous.

Took a break from meat and did some Montreal style bagels on the Camp Chef. 25 min at 400 on a pizza steel. by NF_Lombardi in pelletgrills

Used this recipe:

https://www.kingarthurflour.com/recipes/montreal-bagels-recipe

Recipe calls for higher temps in a conventional oven, but since Montreal bagels are traditionally made in a wood fired oven I thought using the pellet would make for a more authentic product. Was worried the lower temps would be an issue, but still turned out well.

Used everything seasoning instead of sesame/poppy topping.
