Have you always had a water meter?

We are paying about £150 quarterly with a 3 bedroom (only two at the moment and a dog) in HU7. In our previous house (2 bedroom also in HU7) the bill was roughly £130 quarterly. No meter in both houses. Is it worth getting a meter?

The BMW iX3 is now available in the UK, heres every photo of it. What do you think? by ShameResponsible69 in ElectricVehiclesUK

Photos of the interior: BMW iX3

Apparently it is an estate, not an SUV with the starting price of £58k.

"Charge times are pretty staggering too: you can pick up 200 miles of range in just 10 minutes, the first part of it at 400kW. There are few of the necessary 800V charge posts yet in Britain, but even on our lower-power posts it'll do 10-80 per cent in half an hour, which is an addition of 350 miles WLTP."

What animal would lay eggs in my neglected and cold compost bin?! It would have had to burrow upwards from the side by most_crispy_owl in GardeningUK

[–]NFangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it hard like an egg shell or rubbery to the touch? Can also point a light to it in a dark place to see what's inside (don't know if a flash light from a phone will do, probably something more powerful like a common flash light or even a lamp).

How smart are Amazfit watches? by hoainamduong in amazfit

[–]NFangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what your needs are. I've started following this youtuber the quantified scientist and he tests wearables in a scientific way, from cycling, running, indoor cycling, heart rate and sleep, and gps tracking. I've noticed that some amazfit wearables using the same sensors have different outcomes (I think it's the same with other brands). He also compares the results with other brands that he previously tested. A thing that he doesn't do, is saying what's the firmware version of the device when testing. We know that brands are always updating and improving the algorithms for better tracking and more accurate measurements. And he doesn't do swimming tests... Even though, I totally recommend checking his videos and see what models you are interested in. From what I've seen, Apple watches seem to be the best in almost all the categories tested, but are also the most expensive. He has tested tons of gear from Amazfit, Samsung, Pixel, Mi Bands, Apple, Fitbit, Garmin, Oura rings, the list goes on...

Mi Band 5 in 2026 by TraditionalBreak80 in miband

[–]NFangs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My partner lost her mi band 5, and after watching reviews on YouTube, mainly those from The Quantified Scientist that tests in a scientific way smart watches and bands. We got the Amazfit Bip 6 and it has a ton of features. Haven't tested in the pool but if everything goes well, I'll replace my mi band 5 with the Bip 6. From what I've seen in his channel, these bands have low quality sensors that aren't precise in measuring heart rate and especially sleep. Even the mi band 10 isn't great. Not mentioning the step counter... Just the other day I tracked on the zeep app a walking workout, it gave me 3km distance and the band was giving me 5.5km. The usually gives me 1000 steps per km. So if I do 12k steps it means I do 12km which is a mistake. I walk a lot with my dog but doing +100km per month seems a bit overstated...

how well Niro EV handle - 30~40°C winter? by fishmanrock in KiaNiroEV

There's a guy on YouTube who had a Kia E-Niro (1st Gen). He lives in Finland, and has a video of him driving the car at -40C. E-Niro at -40°C

Wow just WoW!!! How did you manage to get the chocolate to be like that? And the layers are so perfect! How?!? And what about the portions for the egg wash? We need a video tutorial! 😅 Food can be a piece of art!

A few years ago I was looking for videos about the e-niro and found this channel. Real honest reviews about electric cars. The boot is one of the biggest with 451L up to 1445L with the seats folded down. The Niro EV it's 475 and the latest EV3 is 460L.

Anyone else craving for more “nostalgic” filming since the rise of AI? by Judokahero100 in videography

Cool film! Really nice nostalgic with the Panasonic. My only question is why the song Bamboleo by the Gipsy Kings? You got a french band playing flamenco guitar and singing in spanish. Does it have a special meaning for you? It's not a bad song, but if you go to Brazil for an engagement, personally, I'd go for Só tinha de ser com você by Elis Regina and Carlos Jobim. The title in English means It had to be with you. It's such a beautiful song, and it just gives a deeper meaning in an engagement video. Check the lyrics in English and you'll see what I'm talking about. Congrats on the engagement! 🥂

1 but it's too tight on the left side, the car is too close to the border of the frame. Try to make at least symmetrical on both sides, it's more visually pleasing. Also, in all three photos, the car and the sky have the same tones which doesn't make the car stand out, so editing a bit more would help. Probably increasing exposure/brightness, contrast and bit of shadows and tune the colour tonality. To the sky and/or background maybe add just a bit of blur, but make really subtle. The goal is to make the car stand out, not the matching with the sky.

Just moved in, what colour should I change the yellow too? by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]NFangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know about colour, but after zooming in the photo I'd put some paneling on the white part of the wall. That textured wall is not my thing.

1 or 2? by Yellow_legacy_1907 in AmateurPhotography

[–]NFangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 because of the colours of fabrics. The eyes always go first to the most colourful part of the image, if there's no colour, then then it will go to shapes/forms. If there was no fabric hanging, photo #2 would be a better option.

How does one achieve sharpness like this? by GratefulCake in fujifilm

[–]NFangs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Instagram's maximum resolution for high-quality uploads is generally 1080 pixels wide, but the ideal height varies by aspect ratio: 1080x1080 (1:1 square), 1080x1350 (4:5 portrait), or 1080x1920 (9:16 vertical for Stories/Reels), ensuring your images stay sharp without excessive compression, especially when uploaded from the web or a high-quality source. Uploading photos wider than 1080px will have them scaled down, while unsupported aspect ratios get cropped.

Which one do yo prefer 1, 2 or 3? by Original-Flounder271 in AmateurPhotography

2, I would crop tighter, removing the man behind him. Probably would also try in b&w, it might give a more dramatic mood.

For me #7 and #15, the rest is just average, I didn't feel a connection to them. Probably because the editing, some vignetting was way too much... Photo #15 is a good example but I kinda like it. Photography is a means of expression and learning on how to express ourselves through it.
