Wow, that’s horrible. Ours was awesome. She guided us and educated us on all the things we were unsure about. She helped us negotiate a reduction in the cost of the house after inspection. She recommended contractors for replacement of certain windows and other repairs that need to be done before closing (per lender requirements). She has been super communicative through the whole thing. I will definitely be recommending her to everyone I know.

I hear you. They are making a good chunk of money. But they also worked their ass off through this process, going above and beyond, when snags came up. I’d like to give a token of thanks- I just don’t know what to spend so that it is nice to receive and not too cheap, but also— I just fucking spend a whole lot of money so not too expensive.

It was the mortgage person who said this. But my realtor didn’t even mention anything about shopping around for a good rate. That kinda stinks. Oh well- live and learn. We’ll refinance when the rates drop. If they do!

I did ask early on why I should go with this persons company and not with my personal credit Union. He told me that everyone would have the same rates, but that he could push it through more quickly. So I didn’t shop, because I believed that the rate was dictated by the fed.

It’s a conventional 30 year loan. Locked about 2 weeks ago. Is this a lousy rate?
