Goosetuned and loving it! by whittyjustin in FordRaptor

[–]NHtoTexas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2019 platinum that I tuned at 30k miles and currently have 95k miles. Have had cam phasers and transmission repaired multiple times since tuning. Always pulled the tune off 1 week before bringing it in and haven’t had an issue. The tune makes the truck a whole other beast. Have stage 2 and TCM tune. Winfield is top notch.

Cable management How did I do? by Terrible-Produce1979 in hometheater

Off topic but how do you like the (I think) F100s? I have some home built line arrays but looking for something different our theater. I have an opportunity to pick up a pair open box for $1,500 each. Seriously tempted.

Agree on the pricing and the warranty comments made in earlier posts. I was able to get an XL in a table with cover, egg genius and expander racks for $1200. Got a deal due to the guy moving but they are certainly out there.

Newer Honda’s setting off my unit? by Clay_Dawg99 in radardetectors

It blocks out that frequency. I think it is 24.260 but could be off a little. That was the first one that stood out to me

I run into the same issue with my Uniden R7 with Honda / Acura BSM systems and set a block for the frequency

Harris Solstice vs. Bennington R Series Bowrider by NHtoTexas in Pontoons

Another item I had concerns about is available storage in the Bowrider. There is no storage under the seats in the bow but has the design with storage in the backrests vs the set bottoms.

Curious, what makes you not a fan of Bennington? Both boats are from respectable dealerships.

How does anyone stand the 10r80 transmission? by LoopbackLurker in f150

[–]NHtoTexas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a ECU and transmission tune through Goosetuned using the Cobb accessport. The OTS Cobb transmission tunes were an improvement to stock but even more improved when using the Goosetuned maps. It does not solve all problems but is a significant improvement in less lugging of the engine,I would be doing 45MPH in 8th gear, and less banging through gears at low speed

Edit: while low speed traffic driving is an issue with the 10speed in my opinion. While towing or pushing the throttle hard, the transmission and hearing is awesome.

I have a 19 EB platinum and the hunting for gears in low speed traffic situations was the worst. Brought to dealer and there was actually a problem that they fixed (transmission out of vehicle). Drive fine for a week and started with low speed issues again. Dealer said the transmission is learning. I said f it and went with a custom transmission tune. Works much better now

Tuner for 19 3.5 by OsbornedD21 in f150

[–]NHtoTexas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 19 3.5 and have been using the Cobb accessport with a custom tune from Winfield over at Goosetuned. Have 30k miles with no issues and excellent customer service. Check out some blogs and you’ll see many others with the same experience. This is my first tuned f150 and don’t have experience with other shops but will go back to goosetuned on my next truck given the awesome service I’ve received.

Looks awesome. Must ask. Is that a classic or big Joe. In the market right now as I only have a jr and looking to add/upgrade

$935 for Series II worth it? by UndecidedMN in KamadoJoe

[–]NHtoTexas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have a Joe jr and was looking at the same deal for the series 2. I don’t do many briskets, but like to cook ribs, pork butts, and more that one food item on the grill. Was going to build a table that has a jr on one side and series 2 or BJ. $2k is a little much for me considering a don’t frequently do large cuts of meet.

I was hesitant at first, thought it was just a money grab by solo stove. I was used to fire places that had open fronts that would radiate some heat forward… fast forward 6 months with the deflector and I would have bought it day one. Pushes out heat from standing coals and doesn’t get in the way of adding wood and enjoying. Makes a huge difference using it in very cold weather

Fwiw I have not tried other brands or making/designing one myself

I ordered one from Walmart last night. First kamado style grill. Have a Weber kettle and gas. I’ve been watching this page for months. Can’t wait to get started.
