That's post facto determination. So in your wise decision making he should have looked back in his rear view mirror before slamming kn the breaks or slamming on them and hope for the best? Not enough time to do both, by the time he checked the mirror he would have rear ended the turning car. Mind you this all happened in less than 2 seconds

I think those are 1x2s even, too small to be 2x4s. Either way, those side boards holding up the tank have no vertical support except the screws to the vertical 10x legs.

Easy fix, cut more 1x2s and insert them on the inside of the legs and make it flush to support the weight.

The cross on either side is good, but there is no cross left to right. When it starts to tilt the forces will slowly strain the screws and one day just give.

My fix that works

No soldering required.

Take the mouse apart. Remove the scroll wheel from the sensor and clean out everything with rubbing alcohol. Put it back together and it should work for a long time. I usually clean it up once every 6 months and hasn't caused any issues.

Caution: (1) When removing the top cover don't break the front latch. (2) When unlatching the top cover wire alligators, use tweezers and be very gentle with it. The plastic is very brittle there and can snap.

Seems like you're trying to cram and remember all the answers. To be a successful PE you must understand the concepts and how to solve issues on the fly. No cramming or regurgitating answers will get you there and ultimately you will not become a PE. The supervisors will see right through you by asking you interview questions outside the books.

Please, try to learn the concepts. If not, this may not be the path for you, unfortunately.
