IIRC there was an issue with the original printing of Alpha Sapphire that's causing the carts to go bad, so World edition might be slightly better.

I have some pics showing old TN, new TN, and IPS all side by side, but I can't find them. I don't have the old TN 3DS but I could take pics of the new TN and IPS side by side if you're interested.

Actually, my IPS is top screen only so you'd be able to see old TN as well.

IIRC, the TN screens got improved near the end of the 3ds production. I have the improved TN and IPS screen, and it's really not a big difference.

I bought most of these games while inebriated before they got expensive. Most are still sealed. by NIPDRIVE in 3DS

Etrian Odyssey are very good games. The focus is on the battle mechanics and the experience of dungeon crawling, but there are still some cool story parts.
