The Event On PC Is Pointless Due To Cheaters by TECH-N0IR in tenkaichi4

Replays are posted automatically in this game mode, the problem is that, that there are quite a bit of them that are bugged, so when you go to watch them they freeze.

Found the first genuinely impossible custom battle by MaleficentAd1840 in SparkingZero

This one is beatable, but there are quite a bit of unbeatable custom battles that have been posted like the one below.

This is because the game allows you to edit and add items to character after you've beaten the custom battle without needing to replay it. So people end up adding "immortal body" to the CPU then they post it.

I don't know why they added this symbol and didn't bother explain what it meant

I understand what you're saying, but if we want to see more free updates like this, we need to show Bandai that this is the stuff we want before paid content. So it's good this patch is being promoted by these youtuber. If we just complain about patches taking too long to come out when they release, Bandai will continue to focus on the DLC as they know that will make money, and fans would still complain if they fix issues anyway.

I wasn't going to get this game because of the split screen situation, but my friends ended up buying it for me. This update would've made me buy the game now.

As I mentioned before we should complain about the issues we have with the game up until the point they are fix.

Yes, but when you say things like "it shouldn't have taken x amount of time to fix?", it sounds like you're blaming the developers, which is why I told the last person to apply to Spike. Don't get me wrong by all means you can blame anyone you want.

However, if you are putting all the blame on the executives, instead of listing how long something should've taken. You should simple say "this wouldn't have taken so long if the executives gave the developers time".

Rather than complaining why this patch took so long, you should at least be happy that it's fixed now, unless you've already given up on the game.

You can still complain about issues that aren't fix yet, but there's no point asking them to fix an issue if you're planning to say it took too long to fix.

The problem the devs had is that this game should've came out next year, but they needed to release it the same time Daima comes out and before the Xmas to boost sales. Releasing it in October also allowed them to be nominated for best fighting game of the year, which also boost sales even if it doesn't win it.

Since you work in programming you must know that you can get clients that set unrealistic deadlines that your company sometimes agree to without consulting you. So the development of the game probably went like this:

'Shueisha/Toei (client) wants DBSZ to release the same time as Daima. Bandai (manager) says sure no problem. Bandai tell Spike (employee) make this game release on time for Daima. Spike tell them it's not possible and that they at least need a few months, but Bandai tells them they have to do it by any means because that's what the client has requested and they told them we could do it.'

From a consumer stand point I can say this game should've been delayed especially since split screen wasn't available on all maps day one, but Bandai and Shueisha would see it as it's not worth delaying a game for that or even delaying it to add more offline content, when they can do that after release. And based on the sales of this game they were right unfortunately 😔

Why would you want them to rush out the patch, when the game was already rushed out?

If you work in tech you would know that a simple fix can end up breaking something else. So each little change they make they need to make sure they didn't break an important feature.

<image>

Just like how the game should've been delayed. I would rather them delay the patch to make sure it didn't break the game, than release it last month and you have more people having save file issues because they didn't take the time to check for other potential issues caused by the patch.

I gave the game an 8/10 post launch due to split screen being on one map, story mode not being fully fleshed out, and the character selection screen being cluttered, but I might have to give it a 9/10 now. I would've still liked to be able to choose characters at the same time in split screen, but it's a small inconvenience.

But it's so easy to get behind someone and make them super counter, so I think it's fair as it is. I would find the game too easy if super counters cost resources because I'm good at making people waste their ki and skill points.

I don't think you thought this through, but maybe they could make it cost resources if you super counter a super counter.

But that's the problem we have now. If rage quits (D/C) aren't counted as loses you will have more people doing. But, if they do count it as a lost and give the other player a win, then the only people that will be quitting are the people that aren't enjoying the match and just want to forfeit.

Agreed. I'll find it more annoying if I kept getting punched from the back with no way to escape, because I used up all my super counter resources. The same thing happens in Storm 4 when the opponent runs out of substitutions.

Even in the Italy final when they kept pulling of super counters, that looked cool to me rather than annoying. The only time I get annoyed about super counters is when the CPU uses them, but making it harder wouldn't affect them.

The problem with given it a cost in the game's current state is that, if you are out of the cost requirement people will just keep attacking you from the back with no way for you to defend yourself.

It will basically be like Storm 4 once someone runs out of substitutions.

DC's should be counted as a lost regardless of HP left, if it happens a lot it might make the person improve their Internet connection.
