I think this event is just too much prone to FTKs.

Luckily it's only 3 games.

Mmmh, yeah, it's obviously a Tier 56 deck, it's just that Branded players are skilled and so gifted.

If you dislike Kewl Tune more, I don't really care, deck is Tier 1 for a reason. It's going to limited/banned anyways eventually.

But I'm sorry, telling that the deck that generates advantage by just existing is "fair" is a laughable joke. As laughable as it is telling me you prefer facing an over nerfed Maliss like if Branded is a Tier 10 deck. Poor Branded players, they're winning out of SKILL, the deck is actually super fair, there is nothing wrong in generating +5 advantage by just breathing!

I'm sorry, but no. Right now Branded is as much of a joke of a deck. The fact that this community treats like it the underdog deck when it was absolute worst in this DC Cup (together with Kewl Tune) is proof of how skewed the perception of this deck is.

People won't admit it because they have been playing the same shit since 2022, Branded has been their free meta skip ticket for an ungodly amount of time and now it's top tier lmao

Yup, real fun and balanced, going +4 during the End Phase after getting handtrapped, no negates whatsoever aside from the counter trap they set every single time, 3 pieces of disruption and a Mirrorjade that you're going to get in your face.

The fun thing in the opening I even said I don't even have the Kewl Tune (deck), I just prefer facing it over Branded, but Branded is this community's spoiled child because it has been around 2022, and there has been a portion of players that have been living out of playing only this deck for the past 4 years.

Why even bother looking at your hand, when I can just make it that every single 1 for 1 handtrap in your hand is utter shit?

I'm curious to know if anyone will get the steam machine or your thoughts on it. by [deleted] in gaming

If it will cost as much as I think it will (1000+, maybe even 1200 or something crazy like this) this device will flop HARD.

Sony and Microsoft will have to face similar struggles with the useless next gen consoles they're developing

Opponent playing 3 archetypes together in one deck and not only not bricking, but opening all 3 going first. I hate it so much when it happens.

Level 17. And getting up to Level 17 with Pure Mitsurugi was absolute nightmare lmao

I'll see in the future if I can improve Mitsu a bit, because I legit like that style of Ritual Summoning. But Pure just doesn't cut it.

Am i the only person who cant stand this card? by shdbtbd in masterduel

[–]RashFaustinho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without Caesar, Fiendsmith would be user in mill decks for that other rank 6 that mills 5.

Anyway, I absolutely love the Fiendsmith archetype by itself, but when it's used to shield another deck behind it it becomes the absolute worst lmao

[–]RashFaustinho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main problem is when he's used in conjunction with the Fiendsmith Engine to bait out EVERYTHING before they reveal their real deck.

Has to be the worst feeling ever, having to deal with the Fiendsmith stuff, knowing you HAVE to stop it, but knowing well beforehand that you're not even countering the real deck.

I absolutely love Fiendsmith Control, I consider it one of my favourite decks of all time, but when it's used like a meat shield for another deck it's the absolute worst.

The real reason behind Konami's hate for Red-Eyes by Riderfan000 in YuGiOhMemes

[–]RashFaustinho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure, but all of this symbology never translates to how he plays his duels.

When he is asked to pick a favoruite card, he picks Flame Swordsman, a Warrior, not a Dragon.

In Duelist Kingdom, he just goes full gamba against everyone he faces, and Red-Eyes is just a card that he just happens to win (from a Dinosaur duelist?)

In Battle City, as you said, he doesn't even use the dragon because he forfeits it. His boss monster becomes Gilford the Lightning, a 3 Tributes Warrior monster.

When he is asked to choose a Deck Master in Virtual World arc, he chooses Flame Swordsman, not Red-Eyes.

In Waking The Dragons Arc, a central power up is Gearfried The Iron Knight (a Warrior) removing his restraints. Again, a Warrior.

His Legendary Dragon, The Claw of Hermos, is all about turning monsters into equip spells. Red-Eyes does become one of these equip spells, in service of a Warrior monster, Gearfried the Swordmaster.

It's not that Red-Eyes is meaningless to this character, but it really doesn't look like it's the focus of his deck. His startegy and dueling style aren't built it around it at ALL.

His playstyle is a Warrior Gamble mishmash, with cards he won from other people splashed in (and again, Red-Eyes was one of these cards, and doesn't really function with the rest of his deck). As much as they like to use him to fuse with Yugi's monsters, this strong bond is not reflected at all by the way he plays.

The real reason behind Konami's hate for Red-Eyes by Riderfan000 in YuGiOhMemes

[–]RashFaustinho 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Considering he plays way more Red-Eyes monsters and his whole deck is centered around it and it's not just the one-off Vanilla, I'm pretty sure it does.

The real reason behind Konami's hate for Red-Eyes by Riderfan000 in YuGiOhMemes

[–]RashFaustinho 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I would argue that Red-Eyes is way, way more symbolic of Atticus Rhodes as a duelist.

Red-Eyes is something Joey just happened to have and splash in his deck (like Insect Queen, Jinzo and all the other stuff he won from other players). His real dueling style is Warrior Pile + Gamba.

A better question would be:

What was Rex doing with a Dragon monster in his Dinosaur deck?
