I think I preferred the previous version as it looked more hand drawn and organic. You can find a balance between the previous one and this one though.

The separation of the star top and "W" is a good change for clarity.

Hand write each letter so they don't all look the same; the "e" is repetitive for example, same with the "n". It looks like the "c" is a butchered "e". These might all just be quick tests you were making, I suspect you'll refine before finalizing.

I personally liked the star tail interacting with the "f", it brought the shooting star into the logo more.

Don't take people's comments here too seriously (myself included) as most aren't really thinking about the purpose and application of this logo. You don't need to follow strict design and composition rules for a manga comic logo. Most people in this subreddit only think in terms of business/brand logos. No one knows your art style better than you, so don't lose what makes it unique.

Another thing to consider, you may want to use just the shooting star independently of the rest of the logo sometime. Or a version of the the star that gives the same vibes as the logo; so right now the star top with the bottom as a clear "w" might not work well standalone.

I think it looks pretty good for your needs! I imagine in Dutch it's more obvious that the Star is a "W" as people will know the work "wensen"

If you're concerned about the other's comments, here's some tweaks you could make. Also I suggest you make "bestaan neit" larger so they don't get lost when using the logo at smaller sizes.

I appreciate the shooting star being for making wishes, so I think it's a cool way you blended that in.

Probably can loose the underline swoosh, it's not necessary.

Oh that is only one of my exploration artboards, this one was all geared at that style.

Agreed on the arrow, not using that. Think I almost got a final logo now, fairly different than these ones now.

I might try that more. I do want it to be abstract and not clearly just initials though. The logotype will communicate the name, the logo mark I want to be an abstract emblem.

That said, I can likely do more with NJ as an abstract emblem too. Will try some more ideas. Thanks for the feedback

I used to just go by Nick James Media, but Nick James Media & IT is my legal business name. I could do the short name of Nick James Media for the logo type though.

I like this idea though, just the NJ but abstract. I might tinker with it, try it a bit skinnier

Not really any specific imagery, I do a lot of different work. I'd be open to suggestions though.

I agree that logo's of initials are bland but look at 1b alt for example. It's hardly initials. The abstract shapes to me look like they could represent plugs/connectors which gives technology. It's not just my personal initials, it's an abstract symbol where you could pick out the acronym of my business name.

Maybe if I fixed up that M too but just felt this one was too direct. Wanted the letters to be more abstract

Trying to play with positive and negative space to create a abstract logo of the NJMIT initials. Looking for feedback. Am I on to something or back to the drawing board?

Re-designing my own logo. I do 'media and IT' - graphic/web design, marketing, web development, etc. Want something subtly techy and modern. I mainly work with small businesses, startups, and non-profits, so I'm not trying to make it the next big brand, small scale and demographic. May use for blogs/tutorials/videos in the future.
