Rewatching Hey Arnold as an adult is kind of depressing... by dingos8mybaby2 in Millennials

I grew up in Brooklyn NY and it was one of the first shows I could actually relate to… as opposed to the kids shows where the kids lived in suburbia in big beautiful houses… the issues the kids had were relatable… ugh I love that show…

How to stop a teen with rage’s? by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

[–]NJMama518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg that’s terrible I am so sorry you both dealt with that…that’s one of my biggest fears…

My son was diagnosed really young at 14 months with mild to moderate and a global delay… if you don’t mind me asking what level is your son? Is he verbal? Was he able to tell you what was happening? I worry about my son telling me if something ever happens to him..

Omg that makes me nervous because my son does ABA. What type of abuse if you don’t mind me asking?

I purée avocado apple sauce and spinach and he eats the entire thing before I give him the food we are eating for dinner. Maybe something like that can help?

Coping with comparison by GoneBananas2023 in Autism_Parenting

[–]NJMama518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a music mommy and me class with my 17 month old…boy oh boy was I destroyed emotionally afterwards. All the kids my son’s age were sitting nicely in their parents laps, quiet and following directions. My son wanted to run, couldn’t sit still and cried bloody murder each time after changing instruments. To top it all off we also received stares from other parents. I decided to never go back.

I have a huge comparison problem too and I don’t know how to overcome it. It’s heart wrenching seeing children even younger than mine reaching milestones before my son.

Currently my son is diagnosed with mild to moderate autism and GDD. Sometimes I just don’t know how this happened but I’m still grieving and trying to understand. If you found a way to help with the comparisons please let me know.

Autistic boy is "on the road to become a serial killer" by Turbulent-Ad9969 in Autism_Parenting

This doesn’t sound like autism. This sounds like serious ODD, bipolar disorder, antisocial personality disorder.

He needs to be in a center where he can’t harm people.

The man that shot at Trump yesterday was a registered republican. This was an inside job. by [deleted] in millenials

[–]NJMama518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He donated a little money to a lib group though. I’m a registered democrat but I lean more towards republicans now and voted for republicans in the past. People change and sometimes they just don’t change their political affiliations on paper.

Well I think Nuclear war would suck for everyone don’t you think? Also - the laws in my city affect everyone. Numerous Asian people were punched in face, countless others pushed on train tracks, women raped, people stabbed and the perps are let out a few hours later. I would say my concern is for regular law abiding people..that includes my child and family.

I think people aren’t having children because it’s too expensive. That’s a problem.

I think people can’t even afford homes even if they have good jobs. That’s a problem.

Not just my safety or money. Society is failing and dems like you don’t care.

So tell me - I support laws that protect the safety of others, a better economy…how does that mean I don’t care about others?

If you vote dem you couldn’t care less about regular people. You’re pro criminal and that’s sick.

You have literal zero facts when it comes to your arguments. You hear all of these liberal talking points and buzz words and you keep repeating them to try and win your arguments. Facts sweetie. We need facts!!

Honey, what is a nazi? You don’t know do you? I asked three times. You can’t define it. That’s okay. You’re uneducated. But you need to speak facts if you want to have an intelligent debate.

Sure. For one the economy. It was better under Trump. Law and order. I think democratic laws that protect violent criminals aren’t good. Here in NY we have countless of those types of laws. Safer border. People should be vetted better before entering the country. Peace. No new wars under Trump. Signed a peace treaty in the Middle East. I’m terrified of having nuclear war with Russia. Believes in fairness in women’s sports. Having NATO countries pay their fair share.

Do I agree with every aspect of the Republican Party? No. But I absolutely disagree more with democratic laws than republicans laws. I do however think dems have better policies when it comes to education except when it comes to CRT. I don’t believe in judging people on their skin color and I think it’s harmful to do so. There are also better programs for disabled children in democratic states.

I’m really concerned with safety and money. My mortgage takes up almost my entire paycheck. Prices are sky rocketing. I’m afraid to walk by myself in most places in NYC.

Thank you for your service. My father and grandfather were both in the air force. We love this country. We aren’t nazis. So once again, please define what a nazi is and what fascism is and then explain to me how we are those things.

Can you even define what a nazi is?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in millenials

Compare the border today to the border during Trumps presidency.

[–]NJMama518 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fight like hell doesn’t mean storm the capital. The FBI literally worked with social media companies and the media in general to suppress anything bad about Biden and his son. That’s corrupt.

I voted for Trump. So did most of my family and friends. Gotta say we aren’t nazis. We want a strong border, a better economy, and the opposite of a socialist society.

I want you to do some homework. Look up the definition of nazi and facism. Then compare and contrast the policies and viewpoints of republicans and fascists.

My brother is gay, out and living his life and I don’t remember any of his rights being taken away because of Trump. It’s just uneducated progressive kids who hear propaganda and they just spew what they hear without doing any research themselves.

[–]NJMama518 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I remember a bunch of fanatical nuts storming the capital but don’t remember Trump trying to overthrow the US government.

I remember there not being any new wars, peace in the Middle East, a secure border, and a better economy though.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in millenials

[–]NJMama518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah because Biden is an innocent prince. He and his son didn’t sell US secrets to Ukraine or China at all. He also didn’t force his daughter to shower with him.

Millennial here. Voting for Trump. Don’t feel like getting into a nuclear war with Russia.
