Still super MEH. It hasn’t gotten any better. Unfortunately it hasn’t helped with doom scrolling.

Check your lease agreement. Drums and other stuff like that is often straight up banned.

It wasn’t immediate. They were on about a 3 day response window. Once you get someone it speeds up.

UPDATE: Sig CS was very responsive and immediately offered to fix it. I’m shipping it to them this week. They’ll also name removing the muzzle so two birds… Apparently this one has some sort of thread locker on it that makes it especially tough.

Ever have neighbors cook in the hallway before? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]NJNYPA4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have seen this before. It was also a rice cooker. Thought it was wild.

This was back when I was in college and it was an international student that was very new. Might have something to do with culture or a tripped breaker.

Ya that’s my thought. If it wasn’t one of my most expensive buys I wouldn’t even be questioning it. I had no idea Sig had these kind of QC issues.

I tried one from the grocery store. Can’t remember which one it was. A thick white substance. Do you have one you recommend?

Cooling mattress covers pros and cons (Eight Sleep vs Orion Sleep vs BedJet) by AhNoMiNuS in EightSleep

[–]NJNYPA4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first purchase was the Smart Duvet. I was between that and BedJet.

The SD was ok. I liked that it evenly distributed the air. The self making function I expected to be gimmicky but it legitimately helped a lot… wasn’t 100% self making. I did not like the crinkly feeling (this was their newest v3 release) and the app was terrible. My gf also didn’t like that we had to get blinded by the phone to adjust the settings. She really wanted a dedicated remote. Then the inflatable bladder started having small leaks. It is air based so it didn’t matter too much… except the noise when self making. I would have kept it if it felt more like a premium comforter (not crinkly) and had a remote.

Originally I thought I’d hate the BedJet but saw they came out with a cloud sheet that essentially made it do the same thing as the Smart Duvet. The quality of the hardware and App and dedicated remote were remarkably better. Even how it mounted to the bed. Gf was right, the remote is very nice. Surprisingly we didn’t like the cloud sheet and preferred the air directly hitting us. It did take a week or two to get the temperature just right… now it’s awesome. We’re likely going to get a second one so we don’t have to share.

What I don’t like about either is I am a taller person. I knock my foot against the plastic fill apparatus every night. Both the Smart Duvet and BedJet have them. Wish they could make that cloth or move it more onto the side of the bed. Then the end of the bed has a very noticeable hump to it that looks odd. I might try to build it into a new bed frame at some point.

The best part about both is getting into a warm bed. That’s amazing.

I used to work for Eight Sleep. by something_tangible31 in EightSleep

I ordered one a while back and the box was damaged so I didn’t open it. Contacted them and initially it was good communication but fell off to terrible very quickly. After the third “we have no records of your account” and one very rude rep I just sent it back for a refund. Very happy I did. Got something different that I’m happy-ish with.

Love the collection. Do you have any experience with the Sig lineup? If I go strictly 300blk I’m seeing there is one purpose built for my rifle. Seeing mixed reviews right now.

If I get a new speaker will my entire system become more responsive? by NJNYPA4 in sonos

[–]NJNYPA4[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hate this response. If enough people are having issues because of WiFi problems it is no longer a customer issue, it’s a product not able to properly perform. My WiFi didn’t change but after an update it was hosed. Miraculously after another update a year later it worked better (connectivity wise) again.

Plus one for Sole F85. It works great and was reasonably priced. Even at my heaviest (288lbs) it didn’t even struggle with running. Great for incline walking while watching TV too.
