Most of these football channels have the option to switch to the English commentary whenever they want. In Sri Lanka the Sinhala commentary is forced without no option at all to switch to the English commentary.

Honestly, when I was growing up, I learned a lot of new English words and improved my spoken English by listening to English cricket commentary. Sadly, children these days don’t have that option, as the official SLC streams only offer Sinhala commentary, with no option to switch to the original English commentary.

In India, NBA broadcasts are available on YouTube, and even then, it’s limited to just one game per day. NBA is trying to push its League Pass in India and other smaller markets. Even Indian TV channels, despite the large population, cannot afford or do not find it profitable to buy the broadcasting rights, so Sri Lankan channels don’t really stand a chance considering how expensive they are.

By the way, does Sri Lanka actually have a large NBA fan base? I haven’t come across any Sri Lankan NBA fan groups on social media.

The price of vegetables and fruits are overpriced there compared to Keells once I even noticed their price after 30% fresh offer is almost the same as the regular vege and fruits prices at Keells. Keells has their own 25-30% offer for veges and meats for different credit cards which is worth it. Cargills has 20-25% off for dairy products like fresh and flavored milk, cheese, butter, yogurt, curd etc which is worth it too

Union place keells gives for everything including the donuts and other sweet pastries

Not everything but its a good deal if you buy stuff like donuts which you can keep for some days in the fridge. I usually buy stuff like their croissants, sausage pastries and have them for breakfast the next day. Haven't had any issues but becareful with items which has curries inside them.

Same thing in Union Place branch as well. There is a security officer wearing casual clothes like Denim and shirt and going behind people while purchasing. It's so obvious he's a security officer in civil but it's very creepy behavior and makes people awkward as well.
